SUMMARY:San Diego-North County Turkey Trot 2026
DESCRIPTION:The entire point of running on Thanksgiving morning is the permission it buys. Nobody sets a personal record at 7:15am wearing a turkey hat. What happens instead is that three generations stand around in the cold at 4S Ranch\, the grandmother walks the 5K\, the kids run their own one-kilometer loop at 8:45 with numbers pinned crookedly to their shirts\, and everyone drives home having earned a plate they were going to eat regardless. This one is only in its third year\, which means it is still small enough that you will recognize the same strangers at the finish line next November - the stage before a race becomes an institution and stops feeling like it belongs to you. Proceeds go to sports scholarships for kids whose families cannot cover registration fees\, which is a quietly pointed thing to fund on a morning about abundance. 10K at 7:15\, 5K at 7:30\, the kids at 8:45. 16118 4S Ranch Parkway.
