The 39th Annual Fallbrook Avocado Festival wrapped on Sunday, April 19 — a full day in downtown Fallbrook that drew an estimated crowd of tens of thousands (past editions have topped 100,000). Free admission, over 450 vendors, live music on the Main Stage and Community Stage, and more avocado dishes than anyone could finish. Highlights included the Guacamole Contest, Art of the Avocado Contest, Avocado Ice Cream, and the Avo 500 Children's Car Race. The festival generates over $2 million in local economic impact annually. It has been running since 1987 and remains one of the largest free community festivals in North County San Diego. The 40th edition will be in April 2027. Worth the drive.
