The only Memorial Day parade in the City and County of Los Angeles. Not marketing -- it is literally true. While the rest of LA heads to the beach, Canoga Park has staged this parade every year since the early 1990s, and the 34th edition is the biggest yet. Theme: Saluting the Price of Freedom. Grand Marshal: Rear Admiral Dave Barnes, USN. The parade steps off at 11 AM on Sherman Way from Owensmouth Avenue east to Cozycroft Avenue, with a pre-ceremony at 10 AM.
