About

Thornton Winery, 32575 Rancho California Rd, Temecula. May 23rd. Richard Marx at the Champagne Jazz Series — the outdoor concert format that Thornton Winery has been perfecting since 1988, in a vineyard setting that makes the whole evening feel like the specific California life that wine country is trying to be.

The Champagne Jazz Series puts artists on an outdoor stage in the middle of Temecula wine country, with the vineyard visible from every seat and the Rancho California hills holding the sound in the early evening. Richard Marx — whose catalog runs from "Endless Summer Nights" to "Right Here Waiting" to the ballads that lived on every mixtape of a certain era — brings exactly the material that works in this setting. It is not a small thing to hear a song you know completely, performed live, with the sun going down over the vines.

thorntonwine.com for ticket details and the Champagne Jazz Series schedule. May 23rd. The outdoor setting means arrive early enough to find your space before the show. Wine tasting runs before the concert. The dinner option pairs with the experience if you're making a full evening of wine country at its best version of itself.

Queen Bee's Open Mic Night — 1st & 3rd Thursdays
Today · May 21 – May 22 Queen Bee's Art & Cultural Center,…

Queen Bee's Art & Cultural Center hosts a bi-monthly open mic on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month at 8 PM — San Diego's most genuinely community-driven open mic, covering music, comedy, poetry, spoken word, and whatever else someone brings to a room that takes all of it seriously. Queen Bee's is a community arts space in North Park, not a bar with a side open mic. The difference matters: the crowd shows up for the performers rather than the other way around, which means the open mic has a different energy than most. People who have never performed in front of an audience have done their first set here. People who perform regularly keep coming back because the room is honest. The format is simple: sign up before the show, get your five to seven minutes, be respectful of the other performers. The genres are genuinely mixed — a singer-songwriter might follow a stand-up comedian who follows a slam poet. The quality varies, which is the point. Some of the best sets come from people who do not look like they are about to do something remarkable. Queen Bee's Art & Cultural Center, 3925 Ohio St, San Diego, CA 92104. North Park neighborhood. The 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month at 8 PM. Low or no cover. Street parking on Ohio St and surrounding North Park streets. Check openmicsandiego.com or Queen Bee's social media for same-night confirmation.

San Diego Brew Fest Coming Soon 8 days away

San Diego Brew Fest
In 9 days · May 30 NTC Park at Liberty Station, 2455 …

San Diego Brew Fest takes over NTC Park at Liberty Station on May 30, 2026 — seventy-plus local and regional breweries, unlimited tastings, live music, food trucks, and zero pretension in one of the best outdoor event spaces in the city. San Diego's craft beer scene is one of the most concentrated in the country, and Brew Fest is where it shows up in one place. The breweries pouring here aren't the same names you find at every national beer event — they're the ones that built the San Diego reputation in the first place: small-batch IPAs, experimental sours, lagers brewed with local ingredients. Over 200 beers on pour across 70+ breweries. You're not going to drink them all. You're going to find three you didn't know existed and wonder why you've been drinking anything else. The format rewards casual discovery. No complicated sampling systems — you get a glass, you walk, you try things. The NTC Park setting means you have actual space: open lawn, shade structures, room to sit down with your group. It doesn't feel like a festival parking lot. It feels like a Saturday afternoon where something good happens to be going on outside. Is it worth it? If you care about craft beer in San Diego at all, yes. Early admission (noon entry) is worth the upgrade if you want the first pour hour before lines build at the most popular booths. After 1pm it fills out but stays comfortable — this isn't a mosh pit, it's a beer garden with table games and live music. What to know before you go: bring sunscreen and a light layer for late afternoon when the marine layer rolls in. Food trucks are on-site — eat something before tastings start. Liberty Station has free parking directly adjacent to NTC Park. The event runs rain or shine. Tickets are sold through the official website (not Ticketmaster) — buy in advance, prior editions have sold out. Designated driver tickets available if you're the one driving. San Diego Brew Fest is one of the few craft beer events in SoCal that feels like it was built for the people who actually live here — not for a crowd flying in for a weekend. That's the difference you taste in the first pour.

K-EXPO USA 2026 — Free K-Pop Expo at LA Live
In 2 days · May 23 – May 24 LA Live Event Deck, 800 W Olympic …

K-EXPO USA brings two days of free K-pop programming to the LA Live Event Deck — the outdoor expo running May 23-24 alongside the ticketed K-EXPO concert at Peacock Theater on May 24 featuring Jay Park, P1Harmony, and LNGSHOT. The free expo is the Falkor-territory component: Korean pop culture panels, brand activations, fan meet-and-greets, merchandise vendors, and the specific energy of thousands of K-pop fans in one outdoor space in downtown LA. No ticket required for the expo. For the fan who wants to be in the room even without the concert ticket — this is what happens outside the venue all weekend, and it counts.

YUNGBLUD: IDOLS - THE WORLD TOUR Coming Soon Tomorrow

YUNGBLUD: IDOLS - THE WORLD TOUR
Tomorrow · May 22 2700 N. Vermont Ave, Greek Theatre…

Greek Theatre, 2700 N Vermont Ave, Los Angeles. May 22nd. YUNGBLUD — the Doncaster artist who turned emo and pop-punk and glam rock and TikTok all into a single vehicle and drove it directly at an audience that was already waiting for exactly this — bringing the IDOLS World Tour to the Greek. The Greek Theatre is the right size for what YUNGBLUD does live. He performs for rooms that want to be performed at, and the Greek at 5,800 seats is the scale where the production can expand and the crowd can still feel like a crowd rather than a field. The Idols era is the most musically developed version of what he's been building — the hooks hit harder, and the live translation of that material is where this artist actually lives. Tickets at ticketmaster.com. May 22nd. The Greek Theatre in late May is Los Angeles outdoor concert season at its best. The hill fills before the first song. Get your ticket before the sections you want close. If you've been watching this tour build on social, the Greek date is the Los Angeles chapter of a story worth being inside.

66th Annual Garden Grove Strawberry Festival 2026 Coming Soon Tomorrow

66th Annual Garden Grove Strawberry Festival 2026
Tomorrow · May 22 – May 25 Village Green Park, 12732 Main St,…

For 66 years, Garden Grove has closed out May with the biggest strawberry celebration on the West Coast. The 2026 edition -- timed to America's 250th anniversary -- is their most ambitious yet. Four full days, one of the last truly free summer fairs in Southern California. Full schedule: Friday May 22 (1-10 PM), Saturday May 23 (10 AM-10 PM), Sunday May 24 (10 AM-10 PM), Monday May 25 (10 AM-9 PM). The Saturday parade kicks off at 10 AM through downtown Garden Grove. Across four days: free strawberry shortcake (genuinely free -- one of the few things left in SoCal that costs nothing), carnival rides, a strawberry fashion contest, the iconic redhead competition, pie-eating contests, live music on multiple stages, hundreds of artisan and food vendors, and the kind of summer fair energy you cannot manufacture. The strawberry shortcake line on Monday afternoon is a tradition of its own. General admission to the festival grounds is free. Carnival rides and some attractions are pay-per-ride. Parking is available throughout downtown Garden Grove. Nearest transit: OCTA Route 43 stops on Main Street directly adjacent to the festival entrance.

Pechanga Resort Casino Comedy Night Coming Soon Tomorrow

Pechanga Resort Casino Comedy Night
Tomorrow · May 22 From $25 Pechanga Resort Casino, 45000 Pech…

Pechanga Resort Casino's 1,200-seat showroom puts national touring headliners on stage Saturday nights — the kind of comedians running Netflix specials and arena shows who end up in Temecula for one night at $25 a ticket on May 23, 2026. The showroom is designed for comedy in a way most venues aren't. Sightlines are clean from every seat. The room holds enough people to generate real crowd energy without becoming an arena where the performer disappears. Pechanga's resources mean they can book names — acts who would cost three times as much at a Hollywood club are accessible here because the casino supports the programming. Come for the show, stay for the casino floor if that's your inclination — or just go home, the show stands entirely on its own. Dinner at Pechanga beforehand if you're making a full night of it; the restaurants are legitimately good. Tickets start at $25 — floor seating runs higher. Book early. The Saturday shows sell.

Fiesta Hermosa 2026 — Memorial Day Weekend Coming Soon Tomorrow

Fiesta Hermosa 2026 — Memorial Day Weekend
In 2 days · May 23 – May 25 Pier Plaza, Hermosa Beach, CA 90254

Fiesta Hermosa fills the heart of downtown Hermosa Beach across Memorial Day weekend with over 250 juried art and craft vendors, live music across multiple stages in Pier Plaza, local food and beverage vendors, and the full South Bay beach-city social scene in rare concentrated form. One of the most consistently attended street festivals in the South Bay, running since 1971 — Memorial Day and Labor Day editions mark the bookends of the beach summer. The vendor footprint runs through Pier Plaza and along the Strand from 11th Street toward the pier, covering several blocks of walkable beach-adjacent streets. Admission to browse is free. Music and performance stages run through the afternoon and into the evening on both Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Food vendors lean local — South Bay restaurants and specialty food makers. Parking in the nearby structure at 8th and Hermosa is the most reliable option; plan to walk several blocks in. Rideshare drop-off works well on the Strand. Check fiestahermosa.net for vendor map, stage schedule, and hours for the Memorial Day weekend edition.

Colorblind + Windwaker + If Not For Me Coming Soon Tomorrow

Colorblind + Windwaker + If Not For Me
In 2 days · May 23 1234 West 7th Street, Teragram Bal…

Teragram Ballroom, 1234 West 7th Street, Los Angeles. May 23rd. Three bands — Colorblind, Windwaker, and If Not For Me — converging on a West 7th venue that handles multi-artist bills the way bills like this need to be handled: standing floor, a sight line from any position in the room, the sound at the level the bands came for. A three-act bill is the format where the night builds. The opening act sets the temperature. The middle act raises it. By the time the headliner takes the stage, the room knows what it's doing. Teragram is the Los Angeles venue that holds this kind of bill at exactly the right density — full enough that the energy compounds, not so packed that you lose the experience of each performance. Tickets at ticketmaster.com. May 23rd in Downtown Los Angeles. The Teragram is accessible from all of LA and a clean shot from Orange County on the 110. Get there early. The opening act is where the night's first discovery happens.
