About

Somebody looked at a galaxy far, far away and at a room full of people screaming the bridge of a song they cried to in high school, and decided those were the same people. They were right. This is the night the Star Wars obsessives and the emo kids stop pretending they're different crowds. The band plays the songs you'd never admit you have memorized. Strangers in Jedi robes and band tees scream every word back at each other like a pew of believers. Cosplay isn't a costume contest here — it's just what you wear to church. The floor is standing-room, the lights go galactic, and for one night the most uncool thing about you becomes the reason a roomful of people love you. Come in costume or come in the shirt you've owned for fifteen years. Both belong. Doors open at 8PM (Cantina Hour early access for the bundle crowd); the party runs Friday, July 24, 2026, 9PM–1:30AM at Music Box, 1337 India Street, San Diego, CA 92101. 21+. Tickets $62 advance.

Crunchyroll Anime FanFest 2026 — San Diego
In 2 days · Jul 25 – Jul 27 222 Marina Park Way, San Diego, CA…

This is what it sounds like when 10,000 anime fans hear the opening notes of something they have been listening to alone for years. Crunchyroll Anime FanFest returns to San Diego Comic-Con, taking over the Rady Shell at Jacobs Park for a two-day music festival built entirely around the genres that anime made famous. The venue sits on San Diego Bay, directly behind the Convention Center, free and open to anyone — no badge, no wristband, no cost. The format: two days, multiple stages, a lineup mixing Japanese artists with Western producers shaped by anime culture. The inaugural 2025 edition featured SPYAIR, yama, ASH DA HERO, and Denzel Curry sharing the same stage — not as a novelty but as a coherent playlist. The 2026 lineup will be announced closer to the event. Gates open Saturday July 25 at 1 PM. Sunday July 26 continues the format. The convention badge crowd mixes with fans who came specifically for this and nothing else. Two days at one of San Diego's best outdoor amphitheaters, surrounded by the bay, and it costs nothing. The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park, 222 Marina Park Way, San Diego. Free admission.

Audible Level Up Lounge — Dungeon Crawler Carl SDCC 2026
Tomorrow · Jul 24 Swing Social, 527 Fifth Ave, San D…

There is a hallway you have only ever walked in your headphones, and now it has a door. Audible is taking over Swing Social at 527 Fifth Avenue in San Diego's Gaslamp Quarter on July 24-25 for the Level Up Lounge — a free, no-badge-required offsite during San Diego Comic-Con. The activation is built around Dungeon Crawler Carl, the LitRPG phenomenon that turned a man and his cat into the most-listened audiobook series on the platform. Fans can complete themed activities to earn XP redeemable for exclusive loot and prizes. The experience includes a Bobiverse-inspired BobNet zone, a Dungeon Crawler Carl survival station where you can record your own Crawler Incident Report, cosplay touch-up stations, phone charging lounges, photo ops, and more. On Friday July 24 from noon to 6 PM, a fully wrapped Princess Donut Food Truck parks at 502 7th Avenue serving free donut holes — including the Goddamnit Donut (cinnamon), Samantha's Head (powdered sugar), and The Desperado Glaze (vanilla). Saturday features creator panels with bestselling author Matt Dinniman and narrator Jeff Hays from 1-4 PM. Free entry, first come first served.

Somebody decided that the songs you only ever felt alone — the openings, the OSTs, the themes that hit a nerve no one around you understood — deserved a thousand people and a wall of sound. So they built a dance floor for them. This is the night your most private obsession becomes the loudest thing in the room. The DJ drops an opening you'd know in two notes and the whole floor loses it at once, because everyone here loves the same thing you do at the same embarrassing volume. Cosplay or street clothes, it doesn't matter — the only dress code is "you already know why you're here." It lands on the Saturday of the biggest fandom week of the year, when the city is full of people who came a long way to be among their own. For one night the thing you usually keep to yourself is the reason a roomful of strangers feel like home. Saturday, July 25, 2026, doors 9PM at Spin Nightclub, 2028 Hancock Street, San Diego, CA 92110. 21+.

Somebody decided that the biggest pop-culture week in the country shouldn't make you choose between where you're from and what you love. So for the fifth year running, a Filipino kitchen in the Gaslamp becomes a fandom headquarters — three nights where the artists' tables, the music, and the food all belong to the same people. You walk in and the room already knows you: FilAm illustrators selling original work off the table, fans who grew up on both anime and adobo, a crowd that doesn't need anything explained. Thursday is Sketch & Scratch — live drawing and music, with original pieces you can buy on the spot. Friday is a meet-and-greet with a free signing. Saturday is the mixer, special guests, the night everyone stays late. No badge required. Nothing to buy at the door. Just a place that decided this community deserved a center during the week the whole world is watching San Diego. Lumpia Con 5 runs Thursday July 23 through Saturday July 25, 2026, nightly from 7pm at Gaslamp Lumpia Factory, 423 F St, San Diego, CA 92101. Free to attend all three nights.

You spend all day on the convention floor, and by night you need a room that matches the energy. Party Plus Ultra is the one the anime community circles on the SDCC schedule before badges even ship -- XLE Productions turning Parq Nightclub, one of the Gaslamp's premier venues, into a full anime experience: cosplay, themed activations, and photo ops for a crowd that earned the night out. Live anime cover band Isekai Stage opens with fan-favorite openings and anthems before DJs Chuck None, DJ Overkill, and Kahn Artest take over until 1:30 AM. XLE has been running SDCC after-parties for years, and this is their signature one. Thursday night of SDCC week at Parq Nightclub, 615 Broadway, San Diego, CA 92101. San Diego Comic-Con 2026 — Friday
Tomorrow · Jul 24 From $65 San Diego Convention Center, 111 W…

Thursday's opening-day buzz has settled into the focused momentum of a convention that knows its time is running out - Friday is the day Comic-Con becomes what it actually is. Hall H has fired its first reveals, the exhibit hall is running at capacity, and the cosplay density on the floor is at its visible peak. The panels running Friday are the ones studios scheduled for maximum audience, so Friday's Hall H is the crowd that has been planning this since last year's badges sold out, and the exhibit hall is the floor as designed. Friday badges are the most in-demand single-day tickets at SDCC - they sell fastest, for good reason. If you're chasing a specific Hall H target, Friday is the day you line up for it; if you're there for the floor, the artist alley, and the Gaslamp energy that builds all day, Friday is when all of it runs at once. It doesn't stop until the lights go down. San Diego Convention Center, July 24th. From $65 at comic-con.org.

2026 Los Angeles Jiu-Jitsu Open — NABJJF at Cerritos College
In 2 days · Jul 25 11110 Alondra Blvd, Norwalk, CA 90…

Nobody who has ever driven three hours to sit on a hard bleacher and scream a teammate's name through their bracket forgets that feeling - the one where your whole gym crammed into two cars because someone had a match. That is the crowd this competition is built for, not the solo grinder chasing federation points. The 2026 Los Angeles Jiu-Jitsu Open brings the North American Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation format to Cerritos College for a one-day Gi and No-Gi competition across all divisions and experience levels. The NABJJF model differs from IBJJF in two ways that matter: smaller entry fees and a regional registration pool, which means white belts compete in the same building as brown belts. Cerritos College gives you real bleacher seating and gymnasium space, so you can see multiple mats at once instead of losing sight of the match you came for. If you are here for a teammate, you will actually be able to find them and follow their bracket. All divisions, Gi and No-Gi, all belts, all ages and weight classes. Competitors register through NABJJF at nabjjf.com. Spectators welcome. Cerritos College, 11110 Alondra Blvd, Norwalk, CA 90650. Saturday July 25, 2026.

San Diego Comic-Con 2026 — Saturday
In 2 days · Jul 25 From $65 San Diego Convention Center, 111 W…

Saturday is the day the whole thing finally becomes what it was built to be. The floor hits full density, the cosplay reaches the intensity that pulls photographers in from other cities, and Hall H holds the rooms people camped overnight for. This is San Diego Comic-Con at its most completely itself. The exhibit hall is the fullest it will get all week - every booth running, every exclusive either available or already gone, every aisle moving at the speed of 130,000 people who all made plans. The Saturday-afternoon cosplay density is a specific phenomenon; the evening programming is where the Gaslamp reaches its fullest pitch. Saturday badges are the hardest to secure and the most in demand, because Saturday is the day. If you have one, you already know what to do: have a plan, get to the halls you care about early, and leave room for the things you could not have planned. The convention finds you on Saturday - show up and let it. San Diego Convention Center, July 25th. From $65 at comic-con.org.

You found this before it happened.

That's not a coincidence.
