There's a version of yourself that eats at the same four places. You know the menu. You know where to sit. You know the server's name but not what they're studying. San Diego Restaurant Week exists to interrupt that person — gently, with a prix fixe menu and a reason to finally try the place you've been driving past for three years.
More than 120 restaurants across 30-plus neighborhoods participate, from Oceanside to Chula Vista, each offering specially designed two-course lunches and three-course dinners starting at $30. This is not a coupon book. It's the city's culinary ambition compressed into eight days, where chefs who usually compete for your attention agree to open the door a little wider at the same time.
The beauty is the permission structure. You don't need a special occasion. You don't need to justify the spend. The entire city decided this is the week, so you're covered. Reservations are recommended and walk-ins are possible for the adventurous, but risky for the places you actually want.
September 13–20, 2026. City-wide across San Diego County. Visit sandiegorestaurantweek.com for the full list of participating restaurants.
