About

San Diego has one of the deepest indie wrestling scenes in the country — more than a dozen active promotions, a community that knows every name on the card, and shows where the wrestlers are reachable after the bell. WRESTLE X brings their summer showcase to McGuffie's Live on June 19 for one Friday night.

Indie wrestling in San Diego is not a novelty or a nostalgia trip. It is a genuine athletic and performance community with its own stars, its own story arcs, and an audience that has followed the characters through every chapter. If you have never been to an indie show, this is one of the best entry points in Southern California. If you are already a regular, you know what WRESTLE X delivers.

McGuffie's is a small venue, which means ringside proximity, loud crowd energy, and the kind of spontaneous moments that do not happen in arenas. Doors open at the posted time. General admission seating. Check WRESTLE X social media for the full card reveal closer to event day. Parking available near the venue on Logan Ave. The community hangs around after the final bell — introductions happen at indie wrestling shows in a way they do not anywhere else in sports or entertainment.

K-Pop Festival at the San Diego County Fair 2026
In 9 days · Jun 28 $22 2260 Jimmy Durante Blvd, Del Mar, …

The San Diego County Fair dedicates a full day to K-pop in 2026 — live performances, fan activations, and the particular energy that happens when the K-pop community shows up in force to a venue designed for large crowds. The K-Pop Festival sits within the broader fair, which means the surrounding infrastructure — food, rides, exhibits, and open-air space — is all part of the day. The Del Mar Fairgrounds runs the San Diego County Fair from mid-June through July 4th, and the K-Pop Festival is one of the signature programming days within that run. For San Diego's K-pop community, this is a home-ground event rather than a drive to Los Angeles, which matters for the sections of the fanbase that do not make the trek to KCON or Crypto.com Arena regularly. General fair admission covers access to the festival. The fairgrounds are on the coast in Del Mar, which adds to the experience in a way that indoor arenas cannot. June 28, 2026. Gates open at 11 AM. K-Pop Festival programming runs through the evening.

Anime Temecula Valley — Monthly Meetup June 2026
In 2 days · Jun 21 Promenade Temecula, 40820 Winchest…

Anime Temecula Valley runs on a simple belief: anime community should exist at the neighborhood scale, not just inside convention halls. This monthly mid-month gathering draws fans from across the Inland Empire and North San Diego County — the people who love anime year-round, not just when a convention comes to town. What you find here is the kind of conversation that doesn't happen at Anime Expo. Nobody is wearing their best cosplay to impress strangers. Instead you'll find a rotating cast of regulars who know each other by username, debating which episode of Frieren or Re:Zero hit different this season, and exchanging watch lists the way baseball fans used to trade cards. Cosplay is welcome but never required. The atmosphere is relaxed, nerdy, and genuinely welcoming. The mid-month timing is intentional. This gathering was designed to not compete with weekend conventions, so it serves the fan who already goes to Otaku House in June and AX in July but wants something closer to home the rest of the year. That person is exactly who shows up. If you're new to anime or new to the Temecula Valley area and looking for your people, this is the right room. No membership fee, no signup required. Show up, say what you're watching, and stay as long as you want. The Meetup group is free to join for updates on future monthly dates.

Sukeban World Championship Fight Night — Anime Expo 2026
In 14 days · Jul 3 51.6 Los Angeles Convention Center, 120…

This is not a wrestling show with an anime theme. It is a convergence: Harajuku fashion aesthetics, anime character energy, live music, and genuine athletic competition fused into one arena experience. Sukeban is Japan's premier female pro wrestling league — and its first-ever World Championship Fight arrives at Anime Expo 2026 on July 3rd at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The league brings rival girl gangs from Tokyo — the Harajuku Stars, Cherry Bomb Girls, and Vandals stables — fighting for a championship belt on the biggest stage in the league's history. Special appearances confirmed. Every match is a story arc. Every outfit is a character declaration. The room this fills: anime fans who also watch wrestling. Sneakerheads who follow Harajuku drops. AEW and WWE fans who've been waiting for something that hits different — aesthetically, athletically, culturally. Sukeban occupies an intersection no other event touches: J-fashion, pro wrestling, anime convention, live performance. Ticketed separately from AX general admission to keep the room committed. Entry requirements: valid Anime Expo credential (4-day or any 1-day pass) plus a separate Sukeban event ticket. GA Floor (standing): $51.60. Balcony A (seated): $101.60. VIP Ringside: $151.60. Tickets at leapevents.com — limited capacity.

SoCal Pro Wrestling Summer Classic -- San Diego County Fair 2026
Today · Jun 19 2260 Jimmy Durante Blvd, Del Mar, …

Two rings. One arena. SoCal Pro Wrestling brings its luchador and traditional style wrestling to the Del Mar Arena during the San Diego County Fair on June 19, from noon to 8 p.m. The format is built for the serious fan and the casual fair-goer simultaneously: two rings running at once mean the technical wrestling fans and the lucha libre crowd are watching different things in the same room, and that tension is the show. The day runs as a tournament -- the Summer Classic Championship -- with the main event settled in a cage match. Wrestler photo ops, a dunk tank, and jousting activities fill the non-ring hours. SoCal Pro Wrestling has been running out of Oceanside since 2009; this is an organization with a community, not a corporate event. Fair admission gets you in the door. Del Mar Fairgrounds, 2260 Jimmy Durante Blvd, Del Mar, CA 92014. Parking on-site. Fair runs June 10 through July 5.

Los Angeles Dodgers vs Baltimore Orioles

Mookie Betts Game 7 Double Play Bobblehead giveaway to the first 40,000 fans. Dodger Stadium sits above Chavez Ravine with the San Gabriel Mountains framing the outfield and 56,000 seats that fill up for a reason. The Dodgers have been the cultural heartbeat of Los Angeles for decades, and a night at the Stadium is one of the few places in the city where strangers genuinely talk to each other. Gates open two hours before first pitch, which matters. Batting practice at Dodger Stadium is worth arriving early for — players are accessible, the park is quiet, and the light across the infield is different before the crowd fills in. Dodger Dogs have been a point of pride and debate since 1962. The loaded nachos are not a lesser option. The third-base pavilion gets loud faster than anywhere else in the park. The fan base is multi-generational and genuinely diverse — Koreatown, East LA, the Valley, and transplants from every other MLB city all show up. What ties it together is that most people who love the Dodgers really love the Dodgers. Division rivals bring out the loudest crowds. Night games in summer are the best version of LA. Parking on-site is $35 (cash and card). Rideshare drop-off at the Elysian Park Ave gate is the cleaner move on a sell-out night. The Dodger Stadium Express runs from Union Station — $8 round trip, no traffic, no parking.

Juneteenth with Chance the Rapper — Hollywood Bowl 2026
Today · Jun 19 Hollywood Bowl, 2301 N Highland Av…

Every June 19, the Hollywood Bowl hosts one of its biggest moments of the year. Chance the Rapper brings his Juneteenth celebration to the bowl in 2026 — free, outdoors, and the performer who built his reputation on shows that feel exactly like this. The Hollywood Bowl seats 17,500 people in the hills above Highland Avenue, with one of the best natural acoustic environments for live performance anywhere in California. Chance's catalog — from Acid Rap to The Big Day — was built for large-format outdoor shows: the gospel-inflected choruses, the crowd-facing improvisation, the way individual songs become communal rituals when he performs them live. A Juneteenth show is not a themed concert. It is the meaning of the music made explicit. Doors open at 6:30 PM. The show starts at 8:00 PM. The Hollywood Bowl is accessible via the Bowl Shuttle from Highland/Franklin and from the Park & Ride lots at the Sycamore Ave entrance — driving and parking in the adjacent Bowl lots is an option but fills early for high-demand shows. Bring layers; the Bowl cools fast after dark even in June. Tickets at AXS.

BIG3 Basketball — Intuit Dome
Tomorrow · Jun 20 From $25 3901 W Century Blvd, Inglewood, CA…

The BIG3 brings its professional 3-on-3 basketball league to the brand-new Intuit Dome in Inglewood for an action-packed day of games. Founded by Ice Cube, the BIG3 features former NBA stars competing in half-court, 3-on-3 format with modified rules — including the Bring Back Line, a 4-point shot arc that creates a uniquely high-scoring and exciting game. Teams including Trilogy, 3 Headed Monsters, and Enemies field rosters of household names from NBA history. A single ticket gets you an entire day of games, making this one of the most value-packed sports experiences of the summer. The Intuit Dome opened in 2024 as the home of the LA Clippers and represents the newest and most technologically advanced sports arena in the country — featuring the largest center-hung scoreboard in arena history and the iconic Halo Board wrapping the upper bowl. Doors open at 10:30 AM. Parking is available in multiple lots near the arena off Century Boulevard. This is a rare opportunity to see the newest arena in the country at an accessible price point, while watching legitimate former NBA talent compete.
