The conventions are the easy part. Everyone shows up for those. The harder thing is finding people who watch what you watch on an ordinary month with nothing on the calendar.
That is what this is. A rotating cast of regulars who know each other by username, arguing about which episode of Frieren or Re:Zero actually landed this season and trading watch lists the way baseball fans once traded cards. Nobody is wearing their best cosplay to impress strangers — cosplay is welcome and never expected. The conversation is the draw.
The mid-month timing is deliberate. It was built to not compete with weekend conventions, so it serves the person who already goes to AX in July but wants something closer to home the rest of the year.
