Miramar Air Show 2026 — MCAS Miramar

The Marine Corps Air Station Miramar Air Show returns in October 2026 as one of the largest free air shows in the United States, drawing over 800,000 spectators across three days to watch military and civilian aircraft perform over Miramar in North San Diego. The headlining act is always the US Navy Blue Angels, who perform their signature precision aerobatic routines — six F/A-18 Hornets flying in tight formation at speeds over 700 mph, rolling, looping, and crossing within feet of each other. Watching the Blues live is an experience that never becomes ordinary. The static display is equally impressive: over 100 aircraft on the ground including Marine Corps helicopters, fighter jets, cargo planes, historic warbirds, and civilian aerobatic aircraft. Visitors can walk up to most of the static displays, photograph them at close range, and talk with the crews. Additional airshow acts include civilian stunt pilots, vintage warbird formations, skydiving demonstrations, and military parachute teams. MCAS Miramar is located at the intersection of I-15 and I-805 in North San Diego. Admission is free. Shuttle buses run from remote parking areas. Arrive early — gates open at 8 AM and the field fills quickly. Bring sunscreen, water, and low chairs. No outside food or large bags.
