Ten thousand horsepower covers a quarter mile in under four seconds, and the sound arrives as physical pressure — people flinch, then laugh, then go quiet.

This is the weekend that decides the season. Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock, and Pro Stock Motorcycle titles separated by fractions of a second, three days of qualifying and eliminations feeding a Sunday where every single run counts. Pomona has been hosting this since 1961. The grandstands run the length of the quarter mile, and the pit pass gets you close enough to watch a crew tear an engine down and rebuild it between rounds.
