The Queen Mary Dark Harbor transforms the legendary ocean liner in Long Beach into one of the most atmospheric Halloween haunts in Southern California, running select nights through October 2026. The Queen Mary — a genuine 1930s ocean liner moored permanently in Long Beach Harbor — provides a setting for Halloween horror that no purpose-built theme park can replicate: actual labyrinthine corridors, real engine rooms that extend seven stories below the waterline, and the documented paranormal history of a ship that has been called the most haunted vessel in the world.
Dark Harbor deploys the ship's actual spaces as haunt zones — mazes run through the boiler rooms and engine rooms deep below the waterline, through the historic first-class staterooms, and along the outdoor decks where the harbor wind adds to the atmosphere. The scale of the mazes is defined by the ship itself: some corridors run hundreds of feet through complete darkness.
The event includes multiple mazes, a scare zone in the ship's festival tent, live entertainment, and themed food and beverage throughout. The ship's Queen's Salon (the main dining room) operates as an event space with premium experiences.
The Queen Mary is located at 1126 Queens Hwy in Long Beach Harbor. Parking in the surrounding waterfront lots. Dark Harbor requires separate event tickets — advance purchase recommended for weekend nights. The combination of genuine historical atmosphere and professional production makes Dark Harbor one of the most distinctive haunt events in California.
