MTG Commander Night at OB Brewery

Four people around a table, a beer in hand, deciding whose threat to answer first -- Commander was built for exactly this and optimized-to-death tournament Magic was never the point. The format lets you play nearly any card ever printed and rewards the person who built the most interesting deck over the one who built the most efficient one. San Diego's casual Commander night runs every Sunday at Ocean Beach Brewing Company -- a neighborhood brewery on Newport Avenue, not a game store, which is the whole point. Loaner decks are available if you want to try before committing to building your own. All skill levels, no tournament pressure, no entry fee. Bring the friend who keeps saying they'll learn.
