Three headliners share this stage for the first time. The Black Crowes bring the Southern swagger that made Shake Your Money Maker an instant classic. Tedeschi Trucks Band brings Derek Trucks — widely considered one of the greatest slide guitarists alive — next to Susan Tedeschi's voice, which could strip paint off a wall in the best possible way. Whiskey Myers brings red-dirt grit that fills honky-tonks and arenas with equal ease.
This is not one headliner and two openers. It is three bands who all have something to prove to each other, outdoors, after dark.
Hollywood Bowl, 2301 N Highland Ave. August 17, gates at 6 PM.
