Scout Day turns the ballpark into a troop event without ever stopping being a ballgame. Scouts march in the pre-game parade. Merit badge activities run the concourse. Group seating puts whole packs together, and theme-game ticket holders get commemorative items. Meanwhile the Padres and the Astros, two of the most analytically obsessive front offices in the sport, give the data-minded adults plenty to argue about between innings.
