The Triste Pero Bien Cabron Tour lands at Viejas Arena at SDSU on August 6. This is the group that turned Un x100to into the most-streamed regional Mexican collaboration in history, the six-piece from McAllen, Texas whose Grammy nominations arrived before most of their members turned 25. The tour name translates roughly to Sad But Damn Tough — which is the entire emotional register of their music in four words.

What the San Diego crowd knows that the algorithm doesn't: Grupo Frontera shows in the 619 hit different because half the arena grew up hearing these rhythms through the walls of their grandparents' house. The concert is a reunion dressed as a tour stop.
