This is the longest-running volunteer-run data conference in Southern California, now in its fourteenth year, and it lasted because the speakers are practitioners instead of keynote circuit riders. Four tracks across one day: machine learning and data science, engineering, business analytics, and careers. The room runs from students building a first model to executives who still remember what a p-value is. New this year, a resume table staffed by hiring managers giving blunt feedback, and a matching feature that pairs you with people by interest at check-in.
