Andrea Bocelli does not need an introduction and he does not need an arena — but the Hollywood Bowl is not an arena. It is an amphitheater carved into the Hollywood Hills, where the acoustics were designed for the kind of voice that does not need amplification to fill a room. The Romanza 30th Anniversary World Tour celebrates the album that introduced Bocelli to the world outside of Italy — the record that sold 15 million copies and proved that an Italian tenor singing love songs could reach an audience that had never been to an opera house.
