The move is to skip the celebrity line and go straight to the artist tables, where somebody is inking a commission in front of you and will talk about it while they work. Rare back issues surface here that never make it onto a shop wall. Cosplayers who spent months on a build stop and let a kid inspect the armor seams. Panels and workshops run all weekend, and the people running them are the ones who actually make the thing.
