Pennywise
House of Blues Anaheim, 400 W Disney Way. May 16th. Pennywise — the Hermosa Beach band that has been making Southern California punk rock since 1988, who are in the conversation for the most consistent live act that genre has produced — returning to Anaheim on the tour that makes no concessions and never has.
Pennywise live is the reminder that Southern California punk was always a work ethic before it was an aesthetic. The band plays hard every single night because that is what the songs require and the crowd expects. The House of Blues Anaheim handles this scale of punk show correctly — the floor is built for it, the sound system is calibrated for it, and the crowd that comes for Pennywise knows exactly what it's walking into.
Tickets at ticketmaster.com. May 16th. Pennywise at the House of Blues Anaheim is the homecoming show the Southern California punk community has been waiting for. Whether you've been listening since "About Time" or found the band later and want to understand what the live show has always meant — be in the room. May 16th.

Pennywise at a SoCal venue May 16. SoCal punk legends who've been doing this since 1988 — 'Bro Hymn' live is still one of the great crowd moments in punk. Mosh pit optional, mandatory spiritually.
