The light drops lower and warmer, the air finally cools, and the Spanish Colonial Revival facades stop reading as pretty and start reading as atmospheric — a horror build against the Museum of Man looks like a production still from something that cost millions. The fountain plaza does things in the afternoon that are genuinely hard to fake anywhere else. The park does most of the work for you.
So-Cal Cosplay Scene runs it as an open call: any fandom, any character, no quality threshold, no hierarchy. Halloween-themed is expected, not required.
