LA Galaxy vs San Jose Earthquakes at Dignity Health Sports Park
Some rivalries need explaining to a newcomer. This one does not — you can hear it inside the first ten minutes, in the noise the south end makes before anybody has touched the ball.
Thirty years of shared history: championship defeats, playoff eliminations, careers made and unmade in single afternoons, and the kind of institutional memory that means even neutrals in the building understand this fixture is not last week's fixture. The visitors travel with one of the more committed away followings in the league, and Carson answers in kind — the Angel City Brigade and the Riot Squad going from kickoff and never really stopping, family sections filling out the rest of the bowl.
Buy early, because the Clasico draws capacity and the seat you actually want is down in the supporters' end.
Take the friend who says soccer is boring. Put them in the loud end and do not warn them first.
