IndieCade 2026 — Los Angeles

IndieCade is the international juried festival of independent games, held annually in Los Angeles in October. It is the Sundance of the games world — the event where independent game developers show work that would never make it onto a Steam front page or into a publisher's portfolio. The festival is split between a public-facing game showcase, where attendees play nominated and featured games before they release, and a professional conference track for developers, educators, and critics. The game showcase is what draws the audience — a room full of PCs, consoles, and handmade physical games that you play in a few minutes and carry in your head for weeks. Past IndieCade selections have gone on to become major releases: Monument Valley, Journey, Cuphead, and Disco Elysium all have IndieCade connections. The 2026 class has not been announced yet — that is the point. You see them before everyone else. Venue and exact October dates to be confirmed at indiecade.com.
