Green is not a color at this show, it is a headcount. When the lights drop and every lightstick in the building turns over at once, you are watching a coordinated act by thousands of people who organized it themselves, on forums, weeks in advance, for free.

Six of them on stage — Shownu, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, Joohoney, I.M — running choreography hard enough that hip-hop, R&B, and dance-pop stop being separate genres somewhere in the second act. This is the only Southern California date on the run and one of the largest rooms they have played here, which is why the fan projects start so early: banners, slogans, photocard events, all coordinated on Reddit and the official community before anyone boards a plane.
