About

Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival is Tyler the Creator's annual music and arts festival — a two-day event held at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles every November that draws more than 60,000 fans for one of the most deliberately curated lineups in American festival culture. The 2026 edition runs November 16-17, headlined by Tyler the Creator himself alongside Andre 3000, Erykah Badu, Playboi Carti, Earl Sweatshirt, Vince Staples, and Daniel Caesar. Named after a track from Tyler's debut album Goblin, Flog Gnaw began in 2012 as a small Fairplex event and grew into one of the defining cultural festivals of its generation.

Flog Gnaw feels nothing like a conventional music festival. Tyler's aesthetic — Golf Wang colors, surrealist visual direction, Converse collabs, the cartoon universe he's been building since Odd Future — pervades every inch of the grounds. The headliner list reads like Tyler's personal taste index rather than a booking agency's safe plays: Andre 3000's rare public appearances, Earl Sweatshirt's deliberately sparse touring schedule, legacy artists like Erykah Badu alongside younger voices. The surprise guest tradition is genuine — in past years unannounced performers have drawn more conversation than the headliners. The crowd skews young, fashion-conscious, and culturally literate in a way that is self-selecting. Flog Gnaw is the festival where people bring cameras for the fits, not just the performances.

This is for people whose music listening doesn't fit a single genre label — who have Tyler the Creator, Badu, Earl, and Daniel Caesar on the same playlist and see nothing contradictory about that. It is for the aesthetically curious. It is not for people who want clear setlist times, grid-pattern stages, and predictable headliner slots. Tyler runs his festival on his own logic, and that's the point. If that energy resonates, Camp Flog Gnaw is one of the few festivals where the curation is unambiguously the product.

Two-day passes sell significantly faster than single-day. The Dodger Stadium location is accessible by Metro (Dodger Stadium Express from Union Station — skip the parking). Merchandise drops at Flog Gnaw are serious and sell out quickly; the Golf Wang collabs available only at the festival have become collector items. Arrive early day one — the grounds have carnival rides, food, and art installations that reward exploration before the headliners. Andre 3000's live appearances remain rare enough to justify the trip from anywhere in the country.

Camp Flog Gnaw is on Falkor's Nation's Best list because it is the rare festival where the curator's artistic vision is fully legible in every decision. Tyler the Creator built a world — Golf Wang, Odd Future, Igor, Call Me If You Get Lost, Cherry Bomb — and Flog Gnaw is where that world becomes a place you can stand in for two days. The music industry produces thousands of festivals. Very few of them feel like they could only exist because one specific person willed them into being. Flog Gnaw is one of them. Tickets at Ticketmaster. November 16-17, 2026, Dodger Stadium, Los Angeles.

San Diego Brew Fest
In 6 days · May 30 NTC Park at Liberty Station, 2455 …

San Diego Brew Fest takes over NTC Park at Liberty Station on May 30, 2026 — seventy-plus local and regional breweries, unlimited tastings, live music, food trucks, and zero pretension in one of the best outdoor event spaces in the city. San Diego's craft beer scene is one of the most concentrated in the country, and Brew Fest is where it shows up in one place. The breweries pouring here aren't the same names you find at every national beer event — they're the ones that built the San Diego reputation in the first place: small-batch IPAs, experimental sours, lagers brewed with local ingredients. Over 200 beers on pour across 70+ breweries. You're not going to drink them all. You're going to find three you didn't know existed and wonder why you've been drinking anything else. The format rewards casual discovery. No complicated sampling systems — you get a glass, you walk, you try things. The NTC Park setting means you have actual space: open lawn, shade structures, room to sit down with your group. It doesn't feel like a festival parking lot. It feels like a Saturday afternoon where something good happens to be going on outside. Is it worth it? If you care about craft beer in San Diego at all, yes. Early admission (noon entry) is worth the upgrade if you want the first pour hour before lines build at the most popular booths. After 1pm it fills out but stays comfortable — this isn't a mosh pit, it's a beer garden with table games and live music. What to know before you go: bring sunscreen and a light layer for late afternoon when the marine layer rolls in. Food trucks are on-site — eat something before tastings start. Liberty Station has free parking directly adjacent to NTC Park. The event runs rain or shine. Tickets are sold through the official website (not Ticketmaster) — buy in advance, prior editions have sold out. Designated driver tickets available if you're the one driving. San Diego Brew Fest is one of the few craft beer events in SoCal that feels like it was built for the people who actually live here — not for a crowd flying in for a weekend. That's the difference you taste in the first pour.

Temecula Valley Balloon & Wine Festival 2026
In 12 days · Jun 5 – Jun 7 Cancelled Lake Skinner Recreation Area, 3770…

Hot air balloons launch at dawn over Lake Skinner -- twenty of them, rising slow and quiet above the Temecula Valley while the winery crowd below is still on their first glass of the morning. This is the Temecula Valley Balloon and Wine Festival, June 5-7, 2026, at Lake Skinner Recreation Area in Winchester, CA. Three days of hot air balloon launches, live music on two stages, and wine tastings from Temecula Valley's best producers. Friday and Saturday nights end with a balloon glow -- the baskets lit from inside, the whole valley turning amber against the dark. It is one of the few outdoor events where the main attraction runs on weather and wind instead of a fixed setlist. The lineup: over 20 balloons in the morning launches (subject to conditions -- the pilots announce at first light), local winery booths spanning the full Temecula AVA, two music stages running afternoon through late evening, and food vendors covering everything from classic fair food to Temecula BBQ. Getting there: Lake Skinner is off Warren Road, Winchester, CA 92596. The Recreation Area has parking on site. Arrive early for balloon launches -- they happen at sunrise, typically 6-7am, and end before midday heat sets in. Gates open Friday afternoon. Weekend passes and single-day tickets at tvbwf.com. Bring layers for the early launch -- the valley is cool at dawn even in June.

San Diego Wave FC Home Match — May 24 at Snapdragon Stadium
Today · May 24 9449 Friars Rd, San Diego, CA 92108

San Diego Wave FC return to Snapdragon Stadium on May 24 for a late-May Sunday afternoon NWSL match — the kind of day in San Diego that makes everyone who lives here remember why they do. May Sundays at Snapdragon carry family-day energy: the supporter section in full voice, a younger crowd visible throughout the lower deck, and the game played at a pace that rewards the attention of anyone willing to watch it closely. The Wave have built a genuine sporting identity in San Diego — the uniform, the crest, the culture around the club that extends beyond the results. A Sunday afternoon in Mission Valley in late May against NWSL competition is the kind of low-stakes high-quality sports afternoon that gets described to people who weren't there in the same terms as a concert or a sunset.

San Diego Padres vs Philadelphia Phillies at Petco Park
Tomorrow · May 25 100 Park Blvd, San Diego, CA 92101

Memorial Day weekend at Petco Park. The Phillies come to San Diego on May 25th carrying the particular energy of a team that travels well — Philadelphia fans follow their teams, they make noise in the opposing park, and they make the crowd around them feel the game harder. That friction is the best version of a regular season game. The Petco Park experience in late May is what drew people to baseball in the first place: the temperature is right, the sun drops into the outfield seats around the fifth inning, and the park fills with people who decided that today is the kind of day you don't spend indoors. The Phillies are a legitimate postseason contender, which means nothing about May 25th is throwaway. The Padres rotation and the bullpen dynamics that have been building all spring face a real test. Right field bleachers for the atmosphere. Infield seats for the angles. Either way you leave having watched real baseball, in the right park, in the right city, at the right time of year. Check mlb.com/padres for availability. The Tommy John stand behind left field is not optional. Memorial Day weekend at Petco has a specific energy — the holiday, the stakes, the crowd that showed up for both.

Dolby Theatre, 6801 Hollywood Blvd, Hollywood. May 27th. De Yun She's 2026 World Tour 30th Anniversary — three decades of cross-talk performance, the traditional Chinese performance art that combines rapid-fire dialogue, wordplay, and comedic timing at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. De Yun She is the Beijing cross-talk troupe that has brought xiansheng — the traditional two-person comedic dialogue form — to arenas and theaters for thirty years. The anniversary tour lands at the Dolby Theatre, which is one of the grandest performing arts venues in Los Angeles, and the juxtaposition of a traditional Chinese art form in the building that holds the Oscars is its own kind of statement. Tickets at ticketmaster.com. May 27th. The Chinese community in Los Angeles has been following De Yun She for decades, and the 30th anniversary is the occasion the troupe has been building toward. The Dolby is sold out for similar events — book early. Cross-talk rewards knowing the references, but the timing and the commitment to the form is legible without the cultural context. This is performance at the highest level of a tradition that goes back centuries.
