Marina Movie Nights 2026 — Burton Chace Park, Marina del Rey

Saturday night, the marina goes quiet in the best way. The projector hums to life at Burton Chace Park and suddenly two hundred strangers on blankets become an audience — boats bobbing behind the screen, salt air mixing with kettle corn, the sky doing that violet thing it only does at the water’s edge. Marina Movie Nights has been running this ritual for years and it never gets old because the formula is bulletproof: free movies, waterfront lawn, first-come-first-served. The lineup hits every lane — SpongeBob for the little ones, Sonic for the tweens, Scott Pilgrim for the adults who pretend they’re too cool but know every line. Moonrise Kingdom and Hocus Pocus round out the season. But the real draw isn’t the film. It’s the blanket-to-blanket community of people who chose the harbor over their couch. No tickets required. RSVP recommended for weather updates. Movies start at 8pm every Saturday, late August through late September. Burton Chace Park, 13650 Mindanao Way, Marina del Rey. Free admission. Bring a blanket or low-back chair.
