Angry Samoans turned Southern California hardcore into something your parents specifically warned you about in the early '80s. Total Chaos brought LA street punk to stages that probably wished they had not agreed to it. Three bands, one night, one room that is going to smell like sweat and sound like the right kind of trouble.

This is not a nostalgia show. These bands never stopped. The Exploited is still touring behind nearly five decades of being too loud, Angry Samoans still play like they might break something, and Total Chaos still headlines bills that turn venues inside out. The Voodoo Room at House of Blues San Diego is the right-sized room for this — close enough to feel the stage shake, loud enough that you will hear the set in your dreams for two days.
