My Hero Academia in Concert arrives at Jacobs Music Center with a 15-piece live band performing the complete score across all eight seasons, synchronized to projected anime sequences on screen. San Diego Symphony's hall was built for sound that fills a room and stays in your chest, and Hayashi's compositions — the triumphant brass of All Might's theme, the fragile piano lines underneath Shoto's backstory, the full-orchestra crescendo when Deku figures out what his hands are actually for — were always orchestral music wearing a different costume.

Every watch party you've ever been to played the show on a screen. This one plays the music in the air between you and the screen, performed by people who are breathing the same tempo. The crowd will be half cosplay, half people who came because someone told them this was the one not to miss. Both groups will be right.
