Supporting this team in this city is an exercise in being outnumbered at home, and everybody who does it knows it. The bolt has a real and stubborn following here, much of it inherited from seventy years down the coast, and it spends every autumn watching its own stadium fill with somebody else's colours. Sometimes that is funny. Sometimes it stings. Against a team travelling three thousand miles in late November it will at least be quieter than usual, which means a genuine chance to hear your own section for once and to sit among people who chose this on purpose rather than because the algorithm told them it was an event. New York does not send many west this time of year. The lower bowl at SoFi Stadium is closer to the field than the size of the place suggests, and on a low-demand Sunday those seats come down to something reasonable. November 22, a 1:05 kickoff.
