Los Angeles Kings vs. Seattle Kraken

The newest fanbase in the league is also the least cynical, and that turns out to be contagious. A club with barely any history has supporters who have not yet learned to be disappointed, who still think turning up is the point, and who travel down the coast in numbers that make a Tuesday in January sound like something more than it is. The home crowd tends to respond in kind. This is a good room for a first game precisely because neither side is performing a decades-old grudge at you - the noise is about what is happening on the ice in front of you rather than about something that happened in 1993. Sit in the lower bowl behind a net if you can. The game makes more sense from there than from anywhere else in the building. It is worth knowing that this is the first of two visits from the same opponent inside five weeks, so if the January date does not suit, the February one will - though by then the standings will have started to matter and the room will be tighter for it.
