January in this building is when the season stops performing for anybody. The holiday crowd has gone, the tourists have gone, the people who come once a year to say they have been have already come, and what is left on a Thursday is the constituency - season-ticket holders, regulars, people who know the ushers by name. The basketball is better watched in that room than in a full one. Orlando arrive as a young side with a couple of players who will be famous within two years and are currently merely very good, which is the most interesting moment to catch anybody. Midweek in January is also the softest the resale market gets all season. If there is a seat in this building you have always wanted and never justified, this is the week the arithmetic finally works. Watch the young players on the visiting side rather than the scoreboard. In two years you will be paying considerably more to see exactly the same people do exactly the same things.
