An eight o'clock tip on a Tuesday is somebody else's decision about your evening. It is late for a weeknight, late enough that Wednesday morning will register the complaint, and the people who come anyway are the ones who were always going to. It is also one of the cheapest tickets of the month, which makes the lower bowl genuinely reachable for anybody prepared to decide on the day.
