Memphis arrive playing the loosest, fastest, least disciplined basketball in the league, which is enormous fun to watch and reliably infuriating to play against. There is no tactical lecture in this one - it is two teams running at each other for two and a half hours - and in the middle of a tense March that is a genuine relief. A Thursday tip keeps the price honest and the crowd local. By this stage of the year most fixtures carry a weight that makes them hard work; this is one of the few that does not, and there is a real argument for spending one March evening simply enjoying a basketball game instead of doing arithmetic about it. Bring somebody who finds the sport slow. They will not after this. Thursday also keeps the concourse walkable, which matters more than anybody admits when there are only two real breaks in the whole evening.
