Fri, Apr 2
LA Clippers vs. San Antonio Spurs
April opens with a Friday and the whole season compressed into whatever is left of it. By this point the building knows exactly what it is watching - a push, a slide, or a set of games with nothing attached - and all three produce a better evening than a December Wednesday ever could. San Antonio arrive with young players who will be the reason people buy tickets in three years and are currently merely extremely good, which is the most interesting possible moment to catch anybody at all. Friday out here means the plaza is busy from late afternoon and stays busy long after the final buzzer. Go to the first weekend of April. Whatever the season turned out to be, this is where it gets decided. Friday out this way also means the plaza stays busy long after the final buzzer, so there is somewhere to go and argue about what you have just watched.
