The California derby has quickly become one of the NWSL's fixtures worth traveling for, and Angel City hosting Bay FC on Fan Appreciation Night is northern-versus-southern-California soccer at its most charged. Bay FC, the Bay Area's ambitious 2024 expansion club, has turned the LA-versus-NorCal fixture into an instant rivalry, and late October means the playoff race is real and the stakes are high. BMO Stadium (pink smoke rolling over Exposition Park, the supporters' end in full voice) becomes the loudest it gets all year. Saturday, October 24, 2026, BMO Stadium, Los Angeles, an easy Metro E Line ride from downtown. Come for the fan giveaways and the pregame thank-you, stay for a state rivalry with postseason implications, and be part of the Angel City crowd that has made LA one of the essential stops on the women's soccer map.

A last home match has a texture nothing else in a season has. Everyone in the stands knows they are saying goodbye to something for months, and they get loud about it in a way that has nothing to do with the standings.
Angel City closes the year the only way this club knows how, with the Celebracion de Culturas turning the stadium into a festival of Los Angeles itself, cultural programming and food outside long before kickoff. The opposition is one of the league's brand-new sides, still in its first year of existence, which means you are watching a club's history at the point where there is barely any of it yet. Exposition Park on a Sunday afternoon, and the most joyful crowd in American soccer.
BMO Stadium, walkable from the museums and the E Line.
Bring the whole family and get there early. The party starts well before the whistle does.

Some bands retire. Some bands do farewell tours that last a decade. Iron Maiden writes a new album, hires a bigger pyro crew, and books an outdoor stadium they've never played before. That's the difference between legacy and relevance.
Iron Maiden brings the Run For Your Lives World Tour to BMO Stadium in Los Angeles on Thursday, September 25 at 6:15 PM, with Megadeth and Anthrax as support. Let that lineup sink in. Three of the Big Four of thrash metal on one stage in Los Angeles — the city that birthed half the genre. A second night follows on September 27 with the same lineup for anyone who needs a double dose.
BMO Stadium is a 22,000-capacity open-air venue in the heart of Exposition Park, walking distance from the Expo Park/USC Metro station. The venue's intimate dimensions for a stadium mean even upper-level seats feel close. The run starts at 6:15 PM — early enough to catch every opener in daylight before the main act takes the stage under a wall of fire.
This is the show the metal community has been waiting for. Three of the four architects of thrash, one stage, one city. Lock it in.

He sings in a register that makes you feel like you're hearing a secret you weren't supposed to know. And then 30,000 people sing it back, and the secret becomes a prayer everyone already knew.
Carín León brings the De Sonora Para El Mundo Tour to BMO Stadium on September 20 at 8 PM, and this is the Grammy-nominated artist who crossed regional Mexican into something that doesn't fit any category anymore. Corridos tumbados, norteño, pop, experimentation — he doesn't pick a lane because the music doesn't need one. The voice carries everything the genre has ever been and everything it's becoming.
BMO Stadium. Clear bag policy enforced. 30,000 seats. Tickets on Ticketmaster. And the parking lot will be the pre-party your tío tells stories about for the next five years.
September 20. Los Angeles. If you've ever heard 'Primera Cita' and thought of one specific person — this is the show you take them to.

Midweek NWSL under the lights has a particular electricity, and Angel City hosting the Seattle Reign is one of the league's better rivalries: two ambitious clubs, two passionate fanbases, and a BMO Stadium crowd that turns a Wednesday night into an event. The Reign are one of the NWSL's original franchises with a history of title contention, so this is no soft midweek filler; it is a genuine test in front of a supporters' end in full voice. Native American Heritage Night adds ceremony to the occasion, in keeping with a club that has always paired top-flight soccer with real community intention. Wednesday, September 16, 2026, BMO Stadium in Exposition Park, Los Angeles. Duck out of work early, take the Metro E Line to Expo Park/USC, meet friends along Figueroa, and come see Angel City take on the Reign in the kind of tightly contested match that shows why LA fell for this team so fast.

A brand-new NWSL club comes to Los Angeles when Angel City hosts expansion side Denver Summit FC, one of two 2026 debutants reshaping the league, and the Black Excellence celebration makes it exactly the kind of night this franchise was built for: soccer wrapped in community, culture, and cause. Angel City has always been about more than the ninety minutes, and a Friday under the lights at BMO Stadium (pink flares, a packed Exposition Park, a fanbase that shows up for the meaning as much as the match) is the club at its most itself. Friday, September 11, 2026, BMO Stadium, Los Angeles, steps from the California Science Center and the Metro E Line. Get there early, take in the pregame programming, and come watch LA's women's team welcome one of the league's newest sides on a night with a whole lot more than three points on the line.

Few clubs in any sport have risen as fast as Angel City, and Alumni Weekend against Gotham FC is a chance to see the LA phenomenon at full strength against the reigning class of the NWSL. Gotham arrives with championship pedigree (2023 NWSL champions, a roster stacked with U.S. and international stars); Angel City answers with a BMO Stadium crowd that has made Exposition Park one of the best atmospheres in women's soccer, all pink smoke and end-to-end noise. Sunday, August 23, 2026, BMO Stadium, Los Angeles, a short walk from the museums and Rose Garden of Expo Park. Come early for the alumni festivities, ride the Metro E Line to Expo Park/USC, grab a seat in the supporters' end, and watch two of the league's marquee franchises trade blows on a late-summer LA evening that feels far bigger than a regular-season game.

Half the stadium is in pink and black and a startling number of them are dressed as princesses, which turns out to be exactly the right atmosphere for a match against one of the best teams in the league.
Exposition Park on a Sunday evening does something American soccer rarely manages — it feels like a party that a serious game happens to be occurring inside of. Families, superfans, and people at their first match, packed into a stadium built specifically for the sport rather than borrowed from football.
Washington arrive as a genuine heavyweight, a title winner reloaded around one of the most dangerous young attacks anybody has. This is not a friendly with a theme night attached; it is a hard fixture wearing a costume. Take the E Line, get there early for the scene along Figueroa, and wear the colors.
Bring a kid. Watch them decide, in about ten minutes, that this is their team now.

The drive up the 5 on a Saturday afternoon is its own small penance, and every San Diego supporter making it this weekend knows exactly what they are driving into: a stadium that will not be on their side, in a rivalry that did not exist three years ago and now feels like it always did. BMO Stadium is one of the loudest rooms in American soccer, built tight and steep so the noise has nowhere to go but down onto the pitch, and the north end does not sit down. What makes this particular Saturday worth the tank of gas is how quickly it got serious. San Diego FC entered the league in 2025 and, in a debut season that was supposed to be about learning how to lose gracefully, won the Western Conference and went to the conference finals instead. Expansion sides are supposed to need three years. Nobody told them. Now they come north to face an LAFC team that has spent a decade making this stadium a hard place to take points from, and the table between these two has been close enough all summer that neither set of supporters is treating it as a normal August fixture. Kickoff is 7:30 in the evening, which in mid-August means the heat finally breaks about twenty minutes in and the floodlights take over. If you have never done a SoCal derby in person, this is the one to start with: close enough to drive, hostile enough to feel like something, and early enough in the run-in that the result will still matter in October.

Nobody picks Queretaro as their favorite. The people from the Bajio who claim them would not trust the club if anybody did.
Los Gallos Blancos are who you support in the lean years — the stubborn middle of Liga MX, rarely televised up here, almost never handed a marquee night. Which is exactly why, when they turn up in Los Angeles, the few who love them surface immediately: the kind of fan who texts the one other Gallos supporter they know within a minute of tickets going on sale.
The match closes LAFC's Leagues Cup home slate, the 3252 in full voice against a small, loud pocket of white and blue that crossed the entire city to be audible.
This is the fixture that proves the Liga MX diaspora here is not only the big clubs. Every region of Mexico is represented in those stands. Go find your section.

Toluca play their home games at 8,750 feet, where visiting teams arrive and run out of air. Los Diablos Rojos built an entire identity on altitude, intensity, and a fanbase that treats the team like a family secret worth defending. They are reigning Liga MX champions, and they are coming down to sea level to face LAFC in the 2026 Leagues Cup. For the Mexiquense community in Southern California, this is the rare chance to see the team your tío never stops talking about, in person, an hour's drive from home. The match lands at BMO Stadium on August 8, with the 3252 supporters' section on one side and a red wave of Toluca shirts on the other. Leagues Cup is the only place these two leagues collide, and a defending champion doesn't visit LA often. Saturday, August 8, 2026, kickoff 8:00 PM at BMO Stadium. Tickets via Ticketmaster. For a city with one of the largest Mexican populations outside Mexico, a reigning champion at sea level is the kind of fixture the whole barrio plans around.

There are jerseys in this city that arrived in a suitcase. Somebody's mother packed one in Jalisco, it has been handed down twice since, and it comes out of the closet exactly when a certain club crosses the border.
That club only fields Mexican players. A century ago it decided its identity was worth more than the open transfer market, and generations agreed — which is why this is not a road game. It is a homecoming that happens to be played in Los Angeles. The stands split along bloodlines: the 3252 in black and gold on one side, rojiblanco on the other, a kid from Boyle Heights ending up shoulder to shoulder with a season-ticket holder from Echo Park, arguing in two languages about the same goal.
Leagues Cup is the only tournament that puts Liga MX and MLS on the same grass, and this is the fixture Angelenos circle first. BMO Stadium, kickoff 7:30 PM.
Send it to whoever taught you which side of the family you were on.
