Anime Los Angeles 2027

Jan 7 – Jan 10, 2027 Long Beach Convention Center, 300 …

Some knowledge you cannot buy: which panels are worth lining up an hour early for, which guest signings empty out fast, which late-night rooms never make it onto the printed schedule. Regulars hand that down to each other here, and it is the real inheritance of a convention that has been meeting for over two decades. The tradeoff for running smaller than Anime Expo is access. To the guests, who trend toward voice actors and fan creators who build their year around Southern California cons. To the programming, which you can actually get into. To each other — the dealer room and artist alley run at a scale where you can move without turning sideways. Four days at the Long Beach Convention Center, January 7-10, 2027, and they open the convention calendar for the whole region. Send this to whoever you stood next to in line last year. They are already planning.

Long Beach Comic Expo 2027

Feb 6, 2027 Long Beach Convention Center, 300 …

At most conventions the person who actually drew the thing is behind a rope with a line and a forty-second window. Here they are sitting at a table with an empty chair beside them. That is the entire identity of this one-day show: writers, pencilers, inkers, colorists, letterers — working professionals available for a real conversation about the craft instead of a signature and a shove. The floor treats mainstream and alternative as equals, Marvel and DC in the same aisles as independent publishers and self-published creators who came because the audience here came specifically for comics. Artist alley carries a density of professional quality that bigger, more casual shows cannot match. One day only, at the convention center downtown, with the Metro A Line running straight into Long Beach. Check the official site for the date. Go with the person who lent you their first trade paperback. Buy them something original.

Long Beach Expo — The Collectibles Show 2026

Sep 9, 2026 Long Beach Convention Center, 300 …

In a closet, in a binder with plastic sleeves, you have something worth more than you think. And in Long Beach Convention Center Hall C, someone has been waiting since 1964 to tell you exactly how much. The Long Beach Expo is the West Coast's longest-running collectibles show — over 400 dealers filling a convention hall with coins, banknotes, sports cards, stamps, antique jewelry, and precious metals. PCGS sets up on site to grade and authenticate. Heritage Auctions runs lot viewings. The floor is a living marketplace where a 1909 penny and a 1952 Mickey Mantle share shelf space with ancient Roman coins and vintage watches. This is the show that serious collectors build their calendar around. But it's also where newcomers walk in with a bag of grandpa's old coins and walk out understanding that they've been sitting on a story worth telling. Meet the Expert sessions run daily. Giveaways pull you in. The conversation at every table is the same: the thing is worth what someone will pay for it, and there are 400 someones here who agree. September 9–11. Long Beach Convention Center, Hall C. longbeachexpo.com.

Long Beach Comic Con 2026

Sep 5 – Sep 6, 2026 From $20 Long Beach Convention Center, 300 …

Somewhere along the way the big conventions stopped being about comics and started being about movie trailers. This is the one that didn't drift. Two days built around the actual thing — the pencilers and writers and colorists and letterers who came precisely because the people in this room came for the work, not the IP announcement. That focus changes the whole texture of it. The dealer room is back issues and original art and independent publishers you won't find at the mega-shows. The artist alley is close enough to reach without a strategy. The panels are about craft — how the page gets made — instead of a studio sizzle reel. If the bigger cons priced you out or wore you down, this is the one that kept faith with the reason you started reading in the first place. Long Beach Convention Center, 300 E Ocean Blvd — October 17–18, 2026, from $20 at longbeachcomicexpo.com. It's right on the water with the Pike a short walk for lunch. Pick your anchors and let the floor fill in the rest.

Midsummer Scream 2026: Horror Musicals

Aug 7 – Aug 9, 2026 35.0 Long Beach Convention Center, 300 …

Some people do not celebrate Halloween so much as survive the other eleven months. If you know who you are, this is the weekend that carries you across the summer. The Hall of Shadows is the reason. A blacked-out stretch of the convention center holding more than a dozen fully built haunts — not teasers, not previews, the real thing — running all three days and included with every badge, no upcharge, no separate line. It is the biggest indoor haunt zone in California outside of October itself. Past that: 350-plus vendors selling costumes, props, seasonal decor, original art, and the vintage pieces that make a stranger grab your arm. Panels on haunt design, practical effects, and cosplay construction, taught by the people who actually build the season. Long Beach Convention Center in August, with weekend and single-day passes online ahead of time. Send it to whoever puts their skeletons up in July. They already knew.

Agenda Show Long Beach 2026

Aug 6 – Aug 7, 2026 Long Beach Convention Center, 300 …

The biggest booth on the floor is almost never where the conversation is. It is the small table in the corner, a brand on its second or third season, somebody who still has something to prove and forty minutes to explain it to you. Walking this show slowly is the entire skill. The fall edition carries different inventory than the January one. Brands come back from summer with lines that did not exist eight months ago, things that began as samples on a garage floor, collabs that read differently in August light than they ever will in a lookbook. If you work in this industry, this is where fourth-quarter decisions get made over a handshake. If you only orbit it, this is where you see what is coming before it lands anywhere else. Long Beach Convention Center on Ocean Boulevard, registration at agendashow.com. Be there the moment it opens, because the corner tables run out of attention first.

Agenda Festival — Long Beach 2026

May 30 – May 31, 2026 Long Beach Convention Center, 300 …

Agenda Festival Long Beach opens the Long Beach Convention Center to the public on May 30, 2026 — every brand in the skate, surf, and streetwear ecosystem under one roof, for a day that feels more like a cultural moment than a shopping event. Agenda started as a trade show. It became something else when it opened to the public: a festival where the brands aren't trying to sell you anything because they already know you. The skate community, the surf community, the streetwear collector — they come here because this is where the industry gathers, and being in the room feels different from browsing the same brands online. Drops happen at Agenda that don't happen anywhere else. Limited pieces from small labels sit next to launches from names you already know. The Long Beach Convention Center has the scale to hold it. Arrive early — the floor gets busy by mid-morning and the brand activations with any kind of queue fill up fast. This is the kind of event that feels like insider access even when it's open to everyone, because the people who show up are the people who care. That's the crowd. That's the room.

Long Beach Comic Con 2025

Aug 30 – Aug 31, 2025 Long Beach Convention Center, Long…

Your best conversation of the weekend will be with somebody sitting behind a folding table with a stack of their own comics and no line yet. That is artist alley, and it is why people who have done every big convention still make room for this one. The floor carries the whole spread — comics, film and television, gaming, and the collectibles that only surface when a collector finally decides to let go. Panels run from the superhero machine down to indie books three people have read, and the creators who made them are in the room instead of on a screen. The cosplay contest is where six-month builds finally get judged by people qualified to appreciate the seam work. It takes over the convention center on the Long Beach waterfront for a weekend, floor and panels together. Go with the friend whose long box you have been hearing about for years.
