What it was like
Stand-up comedy in a live room is a different contract than the special — the crowd is visible, the silence lands differently, and this is the version that doesn't get edited. I’m Not a Comedian… I’m Lenny Bruce performs at Scherr Forum- B of A Performing Arts Center in Thousand Oaks on May 2, 2026. The people who were in the room at a show like this laugh differently when they hear the material again — they were there when it was made.
