Duke Dumont NYE — Reframe Studios Indoors, Los Angeles
Dec 31, 2026 ✨ New $84.98 Reframe Studios Indoors, 4594 Elec…

New Year's Eve is the one night a year when going out is an obligation, and you can feel it in a room: everyone watching a clock instead of each other, waiting to perform a feeling on cue. The times on this one are the tell. Doors at ten, last record at three. That puts midnight almost exactly in the middle of the night instead of at the end of it, so the countdown lands while the floor is already moving and then simply keeps going. Nobody has to decide what to do afterward, because there is no afterward to negotiate — just another three hours of the same room and the same people. Duke Dumont has been making the kind of house record that sounds like relief since 'Need U (100%)', and a warehouse off Electronics Place is a far better frame for that than a ballroom with a balloon drop and a cash bar. Reframe Studios Indoors, 4594 Electronics Place. Doors at ten — go if you would rather your midnight be a middle than a finish line.

ChaseWest — Reframe Studios Indoors, Los Angeles
Jan 1, 2027 ✨ New $67.98 Reframe Studios Indoors, 4594 Elec…

The first of January is the emptiest night of the year to want to go out. Everybody spent their social budget twenty-four hours ago, half the city is nursing a resolution, and the places that are open are running on a skeleton crew and yesterday's decorations. Which is exactly why a warehouse off Electronics Place running a proper late set on New Year's Day is such an odd and welcome thing. The crowd is self-selected down to people who genuinely wanted this rather than people performing a holiday, and that changes a dancefloor completely. No countdown, no hats, nobody filming a kiss. Just a room that opens at ten and a long stretch of house music for whoever still has it in them. The venue runs a different headliner the night before and the night after, so the staff will have been in that room for three days straight by the time you arrive, which tends to make them either very funny or very quiet. 4594 Electronics Place, doors at ten. If you were disappointed by the night before, this is the correction — and almost nobody thinks to take it.

deadmau5 (Birthday Celebration)
Jan 9 – Jan 10, 2027 ✨ New from $73.65 Reframe Studios Indoors, 4594 Elec…

The second week of January is where resolutions go to die quietly. The gym is still crowded with strangers, your coat has not properly dried since New Year's, and nothing in this city has felt like an actual event since the thirty-first. Which is why a warehouse by the river throwing a birthday show for the most famously unimpressed man in dance music reads like a small mercy. Joel Zimmerman has spent two decades being openly irritated by the genre that made him rich, and then going out and playing it better than most of the people who are sincere about it. The helmet is a bit. The programming never has been. Electronics Place is a real street in an industrial pocket off the LA River, and the long walk in from wherever you ended up parking is part of the whole thing. Ten o'clock, Saturday the 9th of January. 4594 Electronics Place, Frogtown.

While you are looking Different scene, same night out.

Nov 21, 2026 from $30 Teragram Ballroom, 1234 W 7th St, …

The Faroe Islands hold about fifty thousand people and produce weather that gets into the music. What arrives on stage is a voice doing two incompatible things at once - old Nordic folk singing, the kind passed down in a language most of the room does not speak, run through electronics that would not be out of place in a club. It should not cohere. It does, and the moment it lands is usually a song with no translation offered, where the crowd stops trying to follow the words and just takes the sound. Expect long held notes, a lot of low end, and a stillness in the room that is unusual for a Saturday. Worth knowing for anyone who has only heard the recordings: live, she sings a good deal of it unaccompanied, and the venue is small enough that you hear the room around the voice. Downtown Los Angeles, late November, all ages.

New Year's Eve Times Square 2026 — New York, NY
Dec 31 – Dec 31, 2026 Times Square, 1 Times Square, New …

It sounds optional right up until you are standing in a street you have seen a thousand times on screens, in the cold, with a million people counting down together - and then you understand why New Yorkers largely skip it and visitors from everywhere else largely cannot explain why they needed to do it once. New Year's Eve in Times Square operates as organized chaos at maximum human scale, and the ball has been dropping since 1907. Streets close to vehicle traffic by mid-afternoon, and people begin staking viewing positions hours before midnight. The ball itself is 12 feet across, weighs nearly 12,000 pounds, and is covered in 2,688 Waterford crystal triangles lit by LEDs. The confetti that fills the air at midnight is printed with handwritten wishes submitted in advance by people around the world - a detail most people only discover after it has already fallen on them. NYPD maintains sector-by-sector crowd control; once you are inside a viewing zone, you stay in it until after midnight. It is worth attending if you have never been and want to see what a city looks and sounds like at its most collectively alive. It is explicitly not worth it if you require warmth, freedom of movement, or reliable access to food and restrooms during a five-to-six-hour wait. Viewing zones open around 3 PM and fill from the stage outward, so arrive by early afternoon for a direct sightline to the ball. Bathrooms are extremely scarce with very long lines. Alcohol is prohibited in the public viewing areas. Dress for 25 to 35 degrees with wind, and bring hand warmers and layers. Your phone will likely not work for the first hour of 2027 as every carrier network in Manhattan saturates at once. Hotels within walking distance book out months ahead. That midnight moment is not available on any stream. December 31st, One Times Square.

The Egyptian Lover
Dec 31, 2026 Zebulon, 2478 Fletcher Dr, Los Ang…

Before there was techno in Detroit there was electro in Los Angeles, and a good deal of it came out of one man, one drum machine, and a car full of speakers driving around South Central in 1983. Greg Broussard still performs with a Roland TR-808, live, on stage, programming it in front of you rather than pressing play on a laptop. He is one of the genuine architects of West Coast electro-funk — the sound that fed into Miami bass, into early hip-hop, into most of what came after — and he has been playing continuously for four decades without ever being fully absorbed into the mainstream that borrowed from him. A New Year's Eve show from an LA originator in a room on Fletcher Drive that actually cares about this history. Better than a countdown in a hotel ballroom. Eight at night on the thirty-first of December. Stay for midnight.

Anime Expo 2027 — Los Angeles Convention Center
Jul 1 – Jul 4, 2027 Los Angeles Convention Center, 120…

You will be tired in a way that feels earned. Four days, a hundred thousand people, and not one of them needs you to explain what you are talking about. The largest anime convention in North America takes the Los Angeles Convention Center over Fourth of July weekend and spills into the JW Marriott and the Ritz-Carlton beside it. Industry panels, screening rooms, autograph sessions with voice actors and composers, concerts that sell out weeks ahead. Studios from Japan use this as their main North American announcement stage — if a sequel or adaptation is being revealed, it often happens in a room you could be standing in. The exhibit hall carries imported merchandise and collaboration exclusives that surface nowhere else on the continent. Los Angeles Convention Center, 1201 S Figueroa St. Thursday through Sunday. Badges run from top-tier early-access down to single-day passes. Book the connected hotel corridor months out. Everyone who tells you that learned it the hard way.

Pacific Beach Night Market
Monthly · Next Nov 4 Free Bayard St and Garnet Ave, Pacific …

A hundred and fifty steps from the ocean, a corner of Pacific Beach turns into a block party that nobody had to organize you into. Fire pits going. Nine to twelve food vendors rotating week to week, so the thing you loved last time might be gone and the thing replacing it might be better. Live music that is genuinely local — acoustic sets, small bands, the occasional DJ. Games. A crowd of PB locals and students and people who simply wandered up from the beach still holding a towel. Past vendors have run birria tacos, banh mi, craft lemonade, Hawaiian shave ice, artisan pastries, small-batch hot sauces. A few craft sellers usually set up alongside. This is a neighborhood gathering, not a ticketed event. Free. No RSVP. You walk up. Bayard St and Garnet Ave, Pacific Beach. 5 to 9:30 PM. Bring a layer — it cools off fast after sunset, even in August.

Taste of Soul LA 2026
In 9 days · Oct 17 Free Crenshaw Blvd (Martin Luther King …

The smell reaches you before the stages do - barbecue and catfish and soul food covering a mile-plus of Crenshaw Boulevard, because every major Black-owned restaurant in South LA has a booth out here and the food is the center of the whole thing. For one Saturday in October, this stretch between Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Leimert Park Village becomes one of the largest street festivals in Los Angeles. More than 300,000 people move through in a single day. The format is street vendors, restaurant booths, live music stages, a car show, health screenings, and community organization presence - but it is the food and the crowd that make it. Founded by the Los Angeles Sentinel, the oldest Black-owned newspaper in California, it has run for over two decades and stayed a genuine community institution: multigenerational, neighborhood-rooted, and enormous. This is Leimert Park and Crenshaw at their fullest. Free to attend. Crenshaw closes to traffic for the day. The Metro K Line stops at Leimert Park Village and is the easiest way in and out. Arrive early if you want to move - by noon the crowds are deep.
