TwitchCon North America 2026
Nov 13 – Nov 15, 2026 San Diego Convention Center, 111 W…

Your favorite streamer - the one you have watched for 3,000 hours - is probably in the building, and you can actually walk up and talk to them. That is the whole reason to go. There is a strange intimacy to a parasocial relationship built over thousands of hours of someone's voice in your headphones, and this is the one place it collapses into a real handshake. You know their cat's name. You know which of their friends you would get along with. They do not know you exist, and somehow that does not make the queue feel foolish, because everyone standing in it is carrying the same lopsided friendship and nobody here is embarrassed about it. The expo hall plays like a live streaming studio crossed with a gaming lounge: streamers broadcasting right off the floor, sub-notification sounds coming from everywhere, meet-and-greets with people who have lived in your second monitor for years. Variety Arcades, developer showcases, and cosplay competitions for game characters fill out the rest, and the whole convention is built around live streaming culture - the people who make it and the people who never miss a stream, in the same room for once. Is it worth the trip? If streaming is background noise to you, no - it will read as a trade show for a job you do not have. If a particular channel has been the thing you put on when the apartment is too quiet, then yes, unreservedly. This is the one weekend of the year when a community stops being a chat window and becomes a crowd with faces in it. What first-timers get wrong is planning around panels and missing the hall. The panels get recorded. The accidental conversation in a signing line does not. Wear shoes you can stand in all day, bring a battery, and accept that your schedule will survive roughly until lunch. TwitchCon North America 2026 returns to San Diego, September 25-27. Half the crowd stays in the city afterward, and the unofficial meetups scattered around the convention are where the rest of it actually happens.

Feb 19 – Feb 21, 2027 San Diego Convention Center, 111 W…

The hardest part of this hobby was never the rules. It is finding four other people who are free the same night and will actually see the game through to the end. That is what the Find a Game board solves, and it is the best thing in the building: you write down what you want to play, somebody writes their name under it, and an hour later you are three turns deep with strangers. The open library holds thousands of titles you can check out and carry to a table — first-come, a couple of hours at a time, so the popular boxes circulate all day. Around it run organized play, publisher demos of things not out yet, miniature wargames, and RPG slots going from morning until the hall closes. It takes a full weekend of the San Diego Convention Center, trolley-accessible, with the Gaslamp right there for when the hall shuts and nobody is ready to stop. Send it to the friend with the shelf of boxes still in shrink wrap.

San Diego Comic-Con 2027 — Saturday
Jul 24, 2027 San Diego Convention Center, 111 W…

Saturday is when Comic-Con becomes what it is. Hall H fills before dawn — the line outside has been there since the night before. The franchise trailers, the cast reunions, the first looks: they all happen on a Saturday at San Diego Comic-Con. July 24, 2027. The day the industry picks to say what it couldn't say anywhere else, in front of the crowd that will carry it everywhere. Saturday programming runs across all three levels of the Convention Center simultaneously. Hall H anchors with the major franchise panels. Ballroom 20 runs television and streaming. The smaller rooms carry comics, animation, games, and the programming that doesn't make the headlines but is often better. The exhibit hall is at peak capacity on Saturday. Artist Alley is fully operational. The Off-Site activations in the Gaslamp are fully active — the marketing footprint of SDCC Saturday extends six blocks in every direction. The pinnacle of the convention calendar. The day the rest of the year has been building toward.

San Diego Comic-Con 2027 — Sunday
Jul 25, 2027 San Diego Convention Center, 111 W…

Sunday is the convention's exhale. Hall H empties out. The floor thins enough that you can finally see it. Badge veterans quietly rate it the second-best day of the week, and a certain kind of attendee plans the whole trip around it. The programming tilts fan-first rather than franchise-first — comics panels, creator Q&As, the closing ceremonies the broader press does not bother covering. Vendors cut deals to move inventory before teardown, and Artist Alley final-day pricing is the best it gets all week. By late afternoon people are already in the Gaslamp over dinner planning next year, which is its own tradition. It ends the same way every time: with everyone insisting it went too fast. San Diego Convention Center, 111 W Harbor Dr. Sunday, July 25, 2027. Thursday and Friday are about what this thing is becoming. Sunday is about what it has always been.

San Diego Comic-Con 2027 — Thursday
Jul 22, 2027 San Diego Convention Center, 111 W…

Everyone tells you Saturday is the day. They are wrong, and the veterans have quietly known it for years. Thursday is thinner. Hall H is already firing, the floor is fully open, and the building hums at a register the weekend spectacle never quite reaches. Studios like to drop their surprise announcements here — timed to land at the exact point in the news cycle that buys them buzz for the rest of the week — so the reveals that feel realest happen before most of the city has even arrived. A Thursday badge is not a lesser badge. Every programming room, every screening, every exhibit, Artist Alley signings running start to finish. Outside, the Gaslamp fills with off-site activations from studios that never scored convention space, plenty of them free with a badge scan or open to anyone walking past. Send this to the friend who has lost the badge lottery a decade running. Tell them to stop aiming for the weekend.

San Diego Comic-Con 2027 — Friday
Jul 23, 2027 San Diego Convention Center, 111 W…

By mid-morning the building is running at capacity in every direction at once, and you have to choose. That is the real experience of Friday — not the lines, not the swag, but the low-grade grief of knowing that whatever room you pick means three rooms you will never see. Hall H is deep into its schedule. Ballroom 20 holds the overflow that did not make the Hall H line. A Friday badge gets you the exhibit floor, Artist Alley, and every programming room, and the best parts are unscheduled by design: merch drops, studio activations, a face you recognize walking a booth with no announcement. Outside, the offsites hit peak operation — studios build entire pop-ups across the surrounding blocks, badge or no badge — and the Gaslamp runs convention menus and parties that spill into the street. Take the trolley or a rideshare; the lots downtown fill early. Send it to the person you always text photos to from inside. Bring them instead.

San Diego Comic-Con 2027 — Wednesday (Preview Night)
Jul 21, 2027 San Diego Convention Center, 111 W…

You did not buy this badge. Nobody buys this badge. You entered a lottery, refreshed a queue page with your heart going, and either the system chose you or it did not — and that is before the convention has even opened. Four or five hours on one uncrowded floor. The people walking it are professionals, longtime attendees, and lottery winners, and they move deliberately because they already know what is here and where. Lines for the most-wanted exclusives form well before the hall opens, but the rest of it is walkable in a way that becomes physically impossible by Saturday. You learn the layout, mark the panels, and buy the thing before it evaporates. The convention center on Harbor Drive, one Wednesday evening in July, trolley running late and nowhere nearby to park. Send it to the friend who has entered that lottery three years running and still talks about it.

Hidden Leaf After Dark — Anime San Diego Official After-Party
Sep 5, 2026 San Diego Convention Center, 111 W…

The convention floor closes. The lights come up. You're standing in a hallway holding a prop sword and a bag of prints, and every cell in your body is saying: not yet. Hidden Leaf After Dark is the official Anime San Diego after-party — the room where the energy that built all day doesn't have to stop. Five DJs take the Convention Center stage after the panels end, spinning anime anthems remixed for a crowd that already knows every word. The cosplays stay on. The dance floor fills with people who spent the day in artist alley and are now discovering each other's moves. Shonen Riot produces this alongside Anime San Diego, so the handoff is seamless — same community, different mode. You don't need a convention badge to attend. The only thing you need is the specific feeling that the day wasn't enough. Friday, September 5, 2026. Doors 8:30 PM. San Diego Convention Center. 18+. Tickets $29.51.

Anime San Diego 2026
Sep 5 – Sep 6, 2026 San Diego Convention Center, 111 W…

Nobody wanders into a convention's first year. The people who show up are believers — the ones who wanted in before anyone could tell them what it would become — and that is why a first edition feels different from the inside than an established show ever will. San Diego is getting an anime convention that belongs to this city specifically, three hours down the freeway from the one everybody already knows. Two days of panels, cosplay, and a vendor floor set differently, because the exhibitors who booked a first-year show chose it on purpose. That choice travels. You can hear it in how people talk to each other in line. The Convention Center on Harbor Drive, in September, when the weather here is at its best. Saturday is the day to pick if you can only make one, and tickets are at animesandiego.com. Text this to whoever you would have gone to your first con with.

San Diego Comic-Con 2026 — Preview Night
Jul 22, 2026 Preview Night badge San Diego Convention Center, 111 W…

There is one evening when the whole thing belongs to almost nobody. The exhibitors are still tightening their displays, the signs are up, and the floor is walkable in a way it will not be again until it is over. Preview Night is that evening, and the people holding the badge know exactly what it is worth. The buying is different — the limited exclusives that will be gone by Saturday morning are sitting right there, and everyone around you knows it too. But the real gift is the pace. You can cross the exhibit hall. You can talk to the people who built the booths. You can take a photo that is not mostly the backs of strangers' heads. It is the most anticipated event in the world caught in its last quiet breath before the weekend swallows it whole. San Diego Convention Center, 111 W Harbor Dr. Preview Night badges go through comic-con.org, and they go early. The harbor is out the window and the doors are about to open. San Diego Comic-Con 2026
Jul 22 – Jul 26, 2026 San Diego Convention Center, 111 W…

For one week the city stops belonging to the people who live in it, and most of them would not have it any other way. Hall H seats 6,500, and the panels there break the internet before the room finishes reacting. The exhibit hall rewards people who arrive knowing what they are hunting, because 130,000 others are in the building too. The artist alley is the actual heart of it — original work from creators whose names you know off the spines of things you have read for years. If you are local without a badge, do not write the week off. The Gaslamp Quarter during the convention becomes its own event, and the screenings, activations, and public programming outside the building are free and genuinely substantial. San Diego Convention Center, 111 W Harbor Dr. Badges are lottery-accessed through comic-con.org, with registration opening in the fall for the following year. Hotel blocks follow the same process. If you have a badge, it repays every hour you put into it.

San Diego Comic-Con 2026 — Sunday
Jul 26, 2026 From $50 San Diego Convention Center, 111 W…

By the fourth day everyone is running on no sleep and pure generosity, and it makes the crowd better rather than worse — looser, kinder, glad to tell you where they got that. Sunday is when the cosplay hits full intensity, because it is the last chance to wear the thing you spent all year building. The announcements have already happened. What is left is the floor: publishers moving stock they do not want to ship home, creators selling the last of their limited prints, deals that did not exist on Thursday. Late July in that building, harbor visible through the glass, fifty thousand people who flew in from everywhere — nothing else replicates it. San Diego Convention Center, July 26th, badges from $50 for the final day, and they do not linger. If Sunday is your way in, take it, and go find the artist whose work has been your phone background for years.

San Diego Comic-Con 2026 — Saturday
Jul 25, 2026 From $65 San Diego Convention Center, 111 W…

Saturday is the day the whole thing stops pretending to be a convention and becomes whatever it actually is. The floor hits full density. The cosplay reaches an intensity that pulls photographers in from other cities. Hall H holds the panels people slept on concrete for, and the exhibit hall is the fullest it will get all week, every booth running, every exclusive either in somebody's hands or already gone, every aisle moving at the speed of a hundred and thirty thousand people who all made plans. The Saturday afternoon cosplay density is its own documented phenomenon, and by evening the Gaslamp reaches a pitch the rest of the year never approaches. Saturday badges are the hardest to get for exactly this reason. If you have one you already know the assignment: reach the halls you care about early, then leave a hole in the day big enough for the thing you could not have planned. That is the part you will still be telling people about. Comic-Con finds you on Saturday. Let it.

San Diego Comic-Con 2026 — Thursday
Jul 23, 2026 From $65 San Diego Convention Center, 111 W…

The people in those seats on Thursday morning have been planning this exact day since last year's badges sold out, and the studios know it — which is why the reveals land the way they do, into a room that is fully awake and fully invested. Thursday is the underrated day. The weekend crush has not arrived, Friday's floor pace is still a day off, and the panels that run now set the tone for everything after. Exhibit hall lines exist, but they are lines you can actually stand in. If you are going a single day and want both hall access and real time on the floor, this is the answer: all of the access, a fraction of the Saturday density. The week starts in earnest the moment that first panel ends and the floor opens. San Diego Convention Center, July 24th, badges from $65. Go with the person who will let you drag them to a panel about something they have never heard of.

San Diego Comic-Con 2026 — Friday
Jul 24, 2026 From $65 San Diego Convention Center, 111 W…

By Friday the nerves are gone. Thursday's opening-day disbelief has burned off, everyone knows which escalator is a trap, and the convention finally becomes the thing it actually is. Hall H has fired its first reveals, so the room now has proof it was worth the line. The exhibit hall is running at capacity. Cosplay density peaks — this is the day the costumes that took a year to build come out, because the people who built them also know what Friday is. Studios schedule their biggest panels for it on purpose, which is why single-day Friday badges are the first to disappear every year. If you are chasing one specific Hall H moment, this is the day you commit to the line. If you are here for the floor, the artist alley, and the way the Gaslamp keeps going long after the halls close, all of it runs at once and none of it lets up until the lights go down. SneakerCon San Diego 2026
May 30 – May 31, 2026 TBA San Diego Convention Center, San D…

You know how it feels to watch a drop sell out in seven seconds. Saturday, it's on a table and the price is negotiable. SneakerCon San Diego 2026 hits the San Diego Convention Center on May 30 — the world's largest sneaker event, and the floor reflects it: tens of thousands of individual pairs from hundreds of sellers, spanning vintage Air Jordans, deadstock SBs, same-week drops, and rare colorways that only move at events like this. The authentication desk runs all day. If you're buying something significant, you get it checked before you walk out. This is not a retail store. Prices are negotiated on the floor. Condition grades matter and sellers will walk you through theirs if you ask. The San Diego sneaker community turns out for this — expect to run into people you recognize and people you'll know by the end of the day. There's a difference between knowing someone online and meeting them across a table with a pair between you. SneakerCon is where that happens. Getting there: San Diego Convention Center, 111 W Harbor Drive, downtown San Diego. MTS Trolley — Convention Center station (Blue/Orange lines) is a one-minute walk. Gaslamp Quarter parking structures on 5th and 6th Ave. Tickets required for entry — general admission and VIP at sneakercon.com. May 30, 2026. The pair exists. You just have to get there first.

San Diego Comic-Con 2026 — San Diego, CA
Jul 23 – Jul 26, 2026 From $75 (1-day) San Diego Convention Center, 111 W…

The badge lottery closes months before anyone knows who is actually showing up, which is the first strange truth about Comic-Con: you commit to being in San Diego before you have any idea what you'll get to see. What you get is the closest proximity to what's coming in film, TV, comics, and gaming that any event on earth offers. The experience splits in two depending on how you engage. There's the inside game: badge in hand, in the Hall H line at 4am for a panel that will be dissected online before you walk out, hunting exclusive merch in the Exhibit Hall, scoring a signature from a creator you've followed for years. And there's the outside game, increasingly its own event - Petco Park and the Gaslamp Quarter fill with activations, giveaways, and pop-ups that require no badge at all. The city becomes the convention, and SDCC has outgrown the convention center by design. It's worth it, but go in with clear priorities. The Exhibit Hall alone is a full day. The panel schedule runs simultaneously across twenty rooms, so choices are constant and FOMO is structural. First-timers should identify their top three panels and build backward from there; everything else is bonus. The badge lottery typically opens in January, and returning attendees get priority in OPEN registration. If you miss the lottery, the outside events - which are free - are genuinely excellent. The Hall H overnight line is real and forms the night before major panels. Buy exclusives online if possible to avoid the floor scrum. San Diego in July is warm and sunny; the Gaslamp is walkable from the center; parking is brutal, so take the trolley or Uber. Comic-Con International has been a nonprofit running this since 1970, and the original vision - a gathering that took comics seriously as literature and art - persists under all the studio noise. The programming outside Hall H skews closer to that original spirit: creator spotlights, comics history panels, portfolio reviews, and an Artist Alley representing the actual comics community rather than its Hollywood adaptation. It is the annual gravity well of popular culture, a four-day event that shapes the next twelve months. San Diego Convention Center. July 23-26, 2026.

Pokemon TCG Regional Championship — San Diego
May 30 – May 31, 2026 San Diego Convention Center, 111 W…

San Diego Convention Center, May 30th. The Pokémon TCG Regional Championship — Masters division at the top of the bracket, open age divisions running throughout, and a room that understands what competitive Pokémon actually looks like up close. Regionals draws players from across the Southwest who have been testing this format since the last set dropped. The level of play at the top tables is worth watching even if you're not registered — decks built around specific counters, plays made in the final minutes of a round that determine travel points and World Championship invites. The side event area runs all day for players who dropped from the main or just want reps in the room. Judges in official regalia move through the aisles with practiced calm. There's a specific atmosphere to a TCG Regional: binders and sleeves and the particular tension of a timed round winding down at a critical board state. If you play, register at rk9.gg. If you don't play and want to understand why this game still fills convention halls, come watch the top tables during Day 2. The Pokémon Regional is the proof.

Downtown stops being an office district and becomes a place where a stranger in full armor holds the crosswalk button for a family with strollers, and nobody finds it remarkable. That is the part people who have never gone do not understand — this is not a trade show. It is the week when the thing you love in private becomes the default language on the street. Comics are still the spine of it, but the floor spilled long ago into movies, television, gaming, and interactive work that did not have a name when this started. The convention center downtown holds the official version; the sidewalks, the hotel lobbies and the lines hold the rest, and the lines are where people actually meet each other. Comic-Con International: San Diego 2025
Jul 24 – Jul 27, 2025 San Diego Convention Center

The line forms before dawn and nobody standing in it is unhappy about that. Somebody passes back a folding chair. Somebody explains a costume they spent months building to a stranger who genuinely wants to know. This is the part outsiders never understand — the waiting is not the tax you pay for the convention. It is a large part of the convention. Inside, the San Diego Convention Center holds every fandom at once and refuses to rank them: comics, anime, science fiction, fantasy, gaming, all of it running at the same time across panels, sneak peeks, and floors of merchandise you cannot get anywhere else. The biggest names in entertainment come here to say things out loud for the first time, and one aisle over an independent creator is selling you a book they drew themselves. Both happen in the same building. That is the actual miracle. Cosplay in every direction, collectibles, and a city that hands itself over for the weekend. Go with the person who got you into all of it.

Katsucon 2027 — National Harbor, MD
Feb 12, 2027 Gaylord National Resort & Conventi…

There is a photograph you have seen without knowing where it came from: someone in an elaborate costume standing on a marble staircase under an eighteen-story glass atrium, winter light coming through, looking like a still from a film that was never made. That is Katsucon, and the building is most of the reason it has the reputation it does. Held every February at the Gaylord National Resort on the Potomac just outside Washington, it is among the most photographed anime conventions in the world, and the cosplay community treats a weekend there as something closer to a pilgrimage than a trip. The atrium is the event. Other conventions have panels and dealers and artist alleys, and Katsucon has those too, but what actually happens is that thousands of people spend three days building and wearing things they worked on since summer, and then the building gives them the best backdrop in North America to be seen in. Photographers book months ahead. There are impromptu gatherings by series on the staircases at all hours. Because the whole thing is under one roof and the weather outside is February in Maryland, the convention never really stops — the hallways at three in the morning are as busy as the floor at noon. Worth it? If you make things — sew, foam-smith, wig-style, prop-build — this is the room where that labor is understood without explanation, and there is no substitute for that. If you are coming to shop or to meet voice actors, other conventions do that better and cheaper. Katsucon is for the makers and the people who love watching them, and it is honest about that. First-timers who come without a costume routinely report it was still the best convention they had been to, because the spectacle is genuinely free to watch. What to know: the host hotel sells out almost immediately, and staying on-site is materially different from staying off — the atrium at night is the whole point. Budget for that. Bring a repair kit; something will break. The convention center portion and the hotel portion are connected but the walk is longer than it looks in costume. And Friday is the quiet day worth arriving for. It earns a place here because it is the clearest example in American fandom of a venue and a community finding each other perfectly, and because knowing it exists changes what you think a costume is for. Katsucon 2027 runs February 12–14, 2027 at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center, National Harbor, Maryland.

Sakura-Con 2027 — Seattle, WA
Mar 26, 2027 Seattle Convention Center, 705 Pik…

The oldest and largest anime convention in the Pacific Northwest was started by a group of college students in the mid-nineties, back when liking this at all required explaining yourself, and it is still run entirely by volunteers. That fact shapes everything about the weekend. Nobody is extracting margin from you. The programming is built by people who wanted it to exist rather than by a department, which is why the schedule is full of things no commercial convention would ever green-light. What that produces is a convention with an unusually high proportion of actual content — panels running past midnight, a serious concert program, a masquerade that people prepare for over months, and a video programming track that still shows things on a screen in a dark room to whoever wanders in. There is a formal ball. There is a chess tournament. The dealer hall is large but is not the center of gravity, which at an anime convention in the current era is genuinely unusual. The crowd skews younger than the older-guard conventions and the atmosphere is closer to a very large school event than to a trade show, in the best possible way. Worth it? If you want a convention where the programming rather than the shopping is the reason to be there, this is one of a handful left in the country, and it is the best of them on the West Coast outside of Los Angeles. If you are coming primarily for big-name industry announcements, the larger shows will serve you better. Sakura-Con is for people who want to spend three days inside the thing rather than adjacent to it. What to know before you go: registration opens early and the price ladder rewards buying well ahead. Late March in Seattle means rain, and the walk between the convention center and most hotels is short but unsheltered. The concerts are included with a badge and fill up, so line early for the ones you care about. Bring cash for artist alley. And the volunteer staff will genuinely help you if you ask, because they are attendees too. It belongs on this list because a thirty-year-old, volunteer-run, still-thriving convention is evidence that a community can build something durable without anyone monetizing it, and that is worth knowing exists. Sakura-Con 2027 runs March 26–28, 2027 at the Seattle Convention Center.

PAX East 2027 — Boston, MA
Apr 22, 2027 Thomas M. Menino Convention & Exhi…

Video games are played alone in a room by almost everybody, almost all of the time, and once a year a few tens of thousands of people who do that go stand in a convention hall in Boston to be reminded it is not actually a solitary hobby. That is the whole emotional mechanism of PAX East and it is more powerful than the announcements and the demo queues suggest. The floor is enormous and loud. Major publishers build elaborate booths for games nobody has played yet, and the lines for those can eat an afternoon — but the part regulars organize their weekend around is the indie section, where a person who spent four years making something is standing behind a folding table watching you play it. That interaction does not exist anywhere else. Elsewhere in the building there are freeplay areas with hundreds of consoles and PCs, a tabletop hall running around the clock, tournaments, concerts, and a handheld lounge where people simply sit on the floor together playing separately, which is somehow the most affecting room in the place. The Enforcers — volunteer staff in distinctive shirts — set a tone of aggressive friendliness that keeps a very large crowd unusually pleasant. Worth it? If games are a real part of your identity rather than a way to pass time, yes, and specifically for the indie hall and the freeplay rooms rather than the big booths. If you only want to see trailers, they will be online within the hour and you can watch them from your couch. What you cannot get remotely is the experience of being one of thousands of people who all care about the same thing, in a city that has been overtaken by it for four days. What to know: badges sell out months in advance and the four-day pass goes first. Wear real shoes; you will walk many miles on concrete. The convention center is a walk from most affordable hotels, and Boston in April can be anything from snow to seventy degrees. Eat before you get inside. And the queue room system means the smart move is picking two or three big demos and letting the rest go. It is on this list because the annual gathering of a hobby that is otherwise entirely private is a genuinely interesting cultural event, whether or not you go. PAX East 2027 runs April 22–25, 2027 at the Thomas M. Menino Convention & Exhibition Center in Boston.

Anime Expo 2027 — Day 2 (Friday)
Jul 2, 2027 Los Angeles Convention Center, 120…

The announcement you will see trending worldwide by dinner happens in a room you could be standing in at lunch. That is the entire case for showing up on the first full public day instead of easing in over the weekend. This is when the building finally hits capacity and the studio panels start dropping licensing reveals and surprise first episodes. Anisong sets bring Japanese recording artists who almost never play the States. Voice actors and creators sign all afternoon. The floor and Artist Alley run flat out from open to close — hundreds of independent artists selling prints, charms, and original work — and the sweet spot for actually shopping it is early afternoon, before the prime-time panels pull the crowd away. The Metro drops you a short walk from the doors. A main badge covers daytime programming, panels, the floor, and the alley; the big concerts ticket separately. Send it to the friend with a simulcast tab open right now. They will not need convincing.

Anime Expo 2027 — Day 4 (Sunday)
Jul 4, 2027 Los Angeles Convention Center, 120…

Everyone chases the opening days — the announcements, the premieres, the Hall H-sized adrenaline. The people who know AX chase the last one. Sunday is when the world's largest anime convention exhales: the lines go short, the floor slows down, and the conversations finally stop being shouted between panels and start being real. It's also the day the floor gets generous. Artist Alley cuts prices to clear the table, exhibitors let exclusive merch go at a discount, and the Closing Ceremonies — the weekend cosplay recap, the Masquerade awards, the official goodbye — mark the moment four days of strangers become the community that'll wait a whole year to reassemble. Day 4 badges are the easiest to find on resale and the most underrated ticket of the convention. And in 2027 the finale lands on the Fourth of July, with fireworks visible from parts of the LACC plaza depending on which way they launch. Anime Expo 2027, Sunday July 4, Los Angeles Convention Center. Take Metro or rideshare — downtown parking and traffic are brutal on the Fourth. Come for the goodbye; it's the part that stays with you.
