The Gulls are Anaheim's development club, so the roster is nineteen-to-twenty-four-year-olds playing like their entire future depends on the next shift, because it does — somebody on the ice will be in the NHL inside two years and nobody yet knows which one. Tucson is the opponent, a divisional rival the Gulls see often enough for it to have soured properly.
