SeaWorld San Diego, 500 SeaWorld D…
SeaWorld's Halloween Spooktacular is the daytime counterpart to the after-dark Howl-O-Scream, built for families with kids who love costumes but are not ready for the kind of jump scares that make adults question their life choices. Running every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from September 11 through November 2, the Spooktacular fills the park with trick-or-treat trails, costumed characters, and the California debut of the all-new Baby Shark Halloween Show -- which, if you have a child under six, is the kind of sentence that makes you immediately check your calendar.
Included with regular park admission, no separate ticket required. The seasonal trick-or-treat trail winds through the park with stops at themed stations. Kids ages 3-9 receive a free one-day admission ticket with a paid adult ticket at $99.99. A Waterfront Pumpkin Patch overlooking Mission Bay rounds out the afternoon with a view that makes the holiday feel like it belongs here.
SeaWorld is at 500 SeaWorld Drive, off Interstate 8 at the SeaWorld Drive exit.

The sea lion in antlers is not what converts you. Neither is the manufactured snowfall over a park that has never seen a real flake. What does it is the moment somewhere near the waterfront when a live choir starts a song your grandmother used to hum, and the million lights on every surface stop being decorations and start being December, and you are small again in the best possible way.
SeaWorld's Christmas Celebration runs daily from November 13 through January 3, making it one of the longest holiday events in San Diego and the only one where Christmas lights reflect off actual ocean. The nightly laser show fires every evening without exception. Santa and his real reindeer handle photos with the patience of professionals. Clyde and Seamore's Christmas Special at Sea Lion Stadium is exactly as silly and exactly as effective as a show performed by trained sea mammals deserves to be.
The unlock that veterans know: weeknight visits in mid-November and early December are uncrowded enough to feel private. The lights are identical, the shows run on schedule, and the hot chocolate line is measured in seconds instead of minutes. If you have never visited SeaWorld after dark during the holidays, this is the version that makes believers.
Daily November 13, 2026 through January 3, 2027. 500 SeaWorld Drive, 92109. The holidays start when SeaWorld says they start.

One version of you loves being scared. The other version pretends otherwise. Both of them want to go, and only one is going to admit it in the parking lot.
Five haunted houses open across the park after dark, each engineered to find a different frequency of dread you assumed you had outgrown. One drops you into a Mardi Gras gone wrong, bayou witches walking you through a graveyard that refuses to stay quiet. Another puts you inside a house that feeds on whatever fear you carried through the door. The coasters run in the dark, which changes everything about a ride you thought you knew, and the scare zones between houses mean there is no safe path from one to the next.
Select nights through the fall, with admission starting hours before the screaming does. Bring the friend who grabs your arm and then denies it in the car.

The best beer you ever had was probably one you had not planned on — handed to you by somebody while a band you had never heard of played something that made you stop mid-sentence.
That is the whole shape of these weekends. Craft breweries set up along the water with tasting pours and full glasses, BBQ vendors smoking ribs and brisket you can smell three exhibits away, and bands playing against a backdrop of the actual Pacific rather than a painted version of one.
This is not a beer festival that happens to be at a theme park. It is a theme park that turns into a beer garden every weekend for a month. You can be on a coaster in the afternoon and holding a hazy IPA twenty minutes later. The tasting lanyards let you sample across breweries without committing to a full pour of something unfamiliar, and the whole thing rides on top of park admission.
Bring the person who thinks they have outgrown theme parks. Hand them a glass.

There is a stadium inside a theme park where orcas breach behind the Jumbotron and forty thousand strangers lose their minds together when the ref blows the whistle. On July 19, SeaWorld San Diego's Orca Stadium becomes the most surreal World Cup watch party in America, a place where the roar of the crowd competes with the splash of a sixty-ton animal and nobody wins because both are perfect. Coca-Cola is hosting the FIFA World Cup 2026 Finals screening right here, doors open at 10 AM with soccer activations, photo ops, and limited-release event premiums while supplies last (one per person, and yes, people will line up). The match kicks off at noon. The setting is what makes this unlike anything else: you are watching the most important soccer match on the planet in a marine amphitheater built for wonder, surrounded by families and die-hards and people who came for the whales and stayed for the goal. Admission is included with general park entry so no separate ticket is required. That means every family already at SeaWorld that day stumbles into a World Cup finals party they did not plan for, and every soccer fan gets a theme park thrown in as a bonus. Parking at SeaWorld San Diego is available on-site. Come early. The activations start at 10 AM and the good seats go fast. This is the kind of event that only exists because someone at SeaWorld looked at the calendar and the stadium and said: why not both? Orca Stadium, SeaWorld San Diego. July 19, 2026. The world's game at its most unexpected venue.
