Rhondavous: The Ravesgiving
Nov 25, 2026 Catch One, 4067 Pico Blvd, Los Ang…

Thanksgiving week has a hole in it that nobody admits to. The meal ends early, the relatives go to bed at nine, and you are twenty-six years old standing in your childhood kitchen with a full night ahead of you and nothing to do with it. Everyone you went to high school with is also in town and also bored. A warehouse-scale room on Pico has been solving that deliberately. Catch One has been one of the most important dance floors in Los Angeles for decades, and a Thanksgiving-week party there runs on a very specific crowd: people home for the holiday, people who never left, and regulars who treat the week as a reunion they did not have to organize. House and techno, doors at six, early enough that you can genuinely do both. Going early is the move. The first two hours are when the room is loose and you can hear the person next to you. November 25 at Catch One, 4067 Pico Boulevard. If someone you love is flying home that week and dreading the downtime, this is the text to send.

We Touch Grass: Los Angeles Anime Rave 2026
Oct 3 – Oct 4, 2026 TBA Catch One, 4067 West Pico Boulevar…

Somewhere around the second hour, a room full of adults in cosplay screams the opening of a show they once cried at, and nobody is embarrassed, and that is the whole product. This is not a convention panel with a speaker in the corner. It is a full-tilt dance floor — breakdowns built off anime openings, EDM edits, bass drops, remixes, and a sea of glowsticks going up the second the right song lands. The crew has run this circuit across North America and Europe, and the San Diego night they threw sold out months ahead, which tells you what the door will look like here. Cosplay is strongly encouraged. Catch One has the rooms and the sound system to hold it. On Pico in Los Angeles, twenty-one and over, and tickets move fast. Send it to the friend who owns the wig and has never once had anywhere to wear it.

DAS BUNKER 30th Anniversary with CombiChrist
Oct 2, 2026 $35+ Catch One, 4067 W Pico Blvd, Los A…

A room full of people in black moving on the same downbeat makes a very particular sound, and Los Angeles has been making it in one basement or another for thirty years. DAS BUNKER is where generations of goths, rivetheads, and cybergoths found each other — the dark room that kept existing while every other scene night in this city opened and closed. For the anniversary it brings CombiChrist to Catch One: aggrotech, body music, strobes, and the communal catharsis this particular crowd knows how to generate on command. This is less a concert than a homecoming. Thirty years of people who did not fit anywhere else, in one room, at full volume, finding out that most of them are still here. Wear the black you save for occasions. Charge your boots. Dance until the lights come up with a family you did not know you had.

RAVEKAWA — Chiikawa Anime Rave at Catch One Los Angeles
Jul 4 – Jul 5, 2026 Catch One, 4067 W Pico Blvd, Los A…

The Chiikawa fandom understood something about those characters before the merch got everywhere — the anxious, striving energy of three tiny creatures trying to be brave is the same emotional register you feel walking into a club for the first time at 22. A rave built around that energy is not an anime tie-in. It is the right room. Catch One has been the Black-owned Pico Union venue at the center of Los Angeles club culture since 1973. Holding a Chiikawa rave there on July 4 weekend means the people who knew about this before the announcement are showing up to a place that has been holding rooms like this for half a century. Kawaii aesthetics, club music, decade-deep house lineage — the convergence is intentional. You will recognize the people there because they read the same threads as you. They cried when Chiikawa cried. They are not here to be ironic about it. The room is for the fans who carried this fandom when it was still small. Catch One Los Angeles, July 4 weekend. Doors and lineup details on the organizer page.

Sonicboombox Anime XP Afterparty 2026 — Anime Expo Weekend
Jul 4 – Jul 5, 2026 TBA Catch One, 4067 West Pico Boulevar…

Anime Expo weekend doesn't end when the convention floor closes. Sonicboombox throws the biggest AX afterparty of the year on July 4 at Catch One — and you don't need an Anime Expo badge to get in. Five rooms. Two floors. A massive outdoor patio. DJs spinning anime-adjacent music across hip-hop, trap, pop, EDM, and emo — Anime Nightclub 3, DJ Taylor Senpai, and a full lineup that treats anime soundtracks like the bangers they are. There's also a game room with Beyblades, a photobooth with printed photos, and the kind of crowd that has the right opinion about the Chainsaw Man opening. Presented by Girltaku, Newtown HQ, and Kaiju Jukebox — organizers who have run Anime Expo adjacent events for years and know exactly what this crowd wants on a Saturday night in July. Catch One is one of the best venues in Los Angeles: legendary sound system, multiple rooms, and enough space that it never feels like a sweaty anime convention overflow. It's more like the after-party that's actually better than the main event. July 4 also happens to be Independence Day. The Anime Expo crowd treats this as its own national holiday — cosplay optional, enthusiasm mandatory. Doors open at 8:30 PM and the night runs until 2 AM. 21+ only. Rideshare recommended. Located on West Pico Boulevard in Los Angeles. This is the Anime Expo afterparty the community has been running to for years. If you're in LA for AX weekend, this is the Saturday night plan.

While you are looking Different scene, same night out.

Rave Jesus - Rave Revival Fall Tour
Dec 19, 2026 $20 Teragram Ballroom, 1234 W 7th St, …

Nobody warns you that leaving a faith community costs you the music too. You can walk away from the doctrine and still catch yourself, years later, missing the specific physical fact of a room full of people singing the same thing at once with their eyes shut. Rave Jesus is the strangest possible answer to that, and it works. Hard dance production under genuinely earnest worship writing, played to a room that is half people who never left and half people who did. The all-ages door matters here in a way it does not at most shows — it means the fifteen-year-old who came with the youth group and the thirty-year-old who has not been to church in a decade are on the same floor. Twenty dollars in advance is club-night pricing for something that behaves more like a revival. Whatever it is, it is not cynical, and that is rare enough to be worth the drive. Saturday, December 19. Doors 7 p.m., show 8. Teragram Ballroom, 1234 West 7th Street. All ages.

Anime Expo 2027 — Los Angeles Convention Center
Jul 1 – Jul 4, 2027 Los Angeles Convention Center, 120…

You will be tired in a way that feels earned. Four days, a hundred thousand people, and not one of them needs you to explain what you are talking about. The largest anime convention in North America takes the Los Angeles Convention Center over Fourth of July weekend and spills into the JW Marriott and the Ritz-Carlton beside it. Industry panels, screening rooms, autograph sessions with voice actors and composers, concerts that sell out weeks ahead. Studios from Japan use this as their main North American announcement stage — if a sequel or adaptation is being revealed, it often happens in a room you could be standing in. The exhibit hall carries imported merchandise and collaboration exclusives that surface nowhere else on the continent. Los Angeles Convention Center, 1201 S Figueroa St. Thursday through Sunday. Badges run from top-tier early-access down to single-day passes. Book the connected hotel corridor months out. Everyone who tells you that learned it the hard way.

Oceanside Sunset Market -- Summer 2026 Thursdays
Every Thursday · Next Oct 8 Free Coast Hwy & Pier View Way, Oceansi…

The Pacific is a block away. Every Thursday evening from 5 to 9 PM, the corner of Coast Highway and Pier View Way becomes the Oceanside Sunset Market — vendors, food, live music, and the light that only happens when you're that close to the water at that hour. The beach-town market that runs when the day is actually good. Local makers, artisans, food vendors, and the crowd that comes out because the evening earned it. The vendor mix is Oceanside-specific: local crafts, art, jewelry, produce, and the food vendors that the beach corridor supports. The live music stage runs throughout the evening. The Oceanside Pier is visible from the market — the setting does work the vendors don't have to. Free to attend. Parking available near the Pier. Every Thursday, May through September, 5-9 PM. Oceanside, California. The market runs through marine layer some evenings. The cooler Pacific air is part of the draw, not a reason to stay home.

Pacific Beach Night Market
Monthly · Next Nov 4 Free Bayard St and Garnet Ave, Pacific …

A hundred and fifty steps from the ocean, a corner of Pacific Beach turns into a block party that nobody had to organize you into. Fire pits going. Nine to twelve food vendors rotating week to week, so the thing you loved last time might be gone and the thing replacing it might be better. Live music that is genuinely local — acoustic sets, small bands, the occasional DJ. Games. A crowd of PB locals and students and people who simply wandered up from the beach still holding a towel. Past vendors have run birria tacos, banh mi, craft lemonade, Hawaiian shave ice, artisan pastries, small-batch hot sauces. A few craft sellers usually set up alongside. This is a neighborhood gathering, not a ticketed event. Free. No RSVP. You walk up. Bayard St and Garnet Ave, Pacific Beach. 5 to 9:30 PM. Bring a layer — it cools off fast after sunset, even in August.

Taste of Soul LA 2026
In 9 days · Oct 17 Free Crenshaw Blvd (Martin Luther King …

The smell reaches you before the stages do - barbecue and catfish and soul food covering a mile-plus of Crenshaw Boulevard, because every major Black-owned restaurant in South LA has a booth out here and the food is the center of the whole thing. For one Saturday in October, this stretch between Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Leimert Park Village becomes one of the largest street festivals in Los Angeles. More than 300,000 people move through in a single day. The format is street vendors, restaurant booths, live music stages, a car show, health screenings, and community organization presence - but it is the food and the crowd that make it. Founded by the Los Angeles Sentinel, the oldest Black-owned newspaper in California, it has run for over two decades and stayed a genuine community institution: multigenerational, neighborhood-rooted, and enormous. This is Leimert Park and Crenshaw at their fullest. Free to attend. Crenshaw closes to traffic for the day. The Metro K Line stops at Leimert Park Village and is the easiest way in and out. Arrive early if you want to move - by noon the crowds are deep.
