Metaphor: ReFantazio Orchestra Concert — Peacock Theater, Los Angeles
In 5 days · Oct 13 Peacock Theater, 777 Chick Hearn C…

You spent eighty hours inside that world. You heard the battle theme so many times it became the sound of your own stubbornness — the part where the strings climb and the choir enters and you refused to put the controller down because the next cutscene was the one that was going to break you. Shoji Meguro writes like the music knows something about you that you have not said out loud yet. The tavern theme that made you pause the game and just sit there. The boss transition where the orchestra swells and your hands went cold. The quiet field track that played while you were supposed to be somewhere else, but you walked around anyway because the melody was doing something you could not name. Now a full orchestra and choir perform that score live, and the difference between hearing it through speakers and hearing it fill a hall is the difference between remembering a place and standing in it again. The Japan premiere sold out; this is the first orchestral realization of these compositions in the United States. The audience is the quiet part made loud — a thousand people who each spent those hours alone in a room, and were in the same room the whole time without knowing it.

Wuthering Waves Concert Tour: To the New World

Loving a game nobody around you plays is a specific kind of lonely. You have four hundred hours in it, you know the soundtrack better than most albums you own, and the people who would understand are all on a Discord server in other time zones. Then a tour announces a North American stop and the server becomes a group of people you can actually stand next to. This is that night. The score for this game is genuinely orchestral - recorded with real ensembles, not a synth patch pretending - and hearing it played live in a two-thousand-seat theater is the closest the medium gets to a symphony hall treating it seriously. Cosplay will be everywhere and nobody will find it remarkable. If you have somebody in your life who has tried to explain this game to you and given up, this is the night to just go with them. This is the North American debut of the tour, which has otherwise only played Asia. Doors well before the eight o'clock downbeat on Saturday the 17th.

Umamusume: Pretty Derby - 7th EVENT WORLD TOUR: THE STAGE in LOS ANGELES
In 14 days · Oct 22 Peacock Theater, 777 Chick Hearn C…

For years the only way to see one of these was a livestream at three in the morning with a fan translation scrolling in a second window, and you did it anyway, and you were not alone. That is the part worth saying out loud: a franchise about racehorses reincarnated as schoolgirls became one of the most emotionally devastating things in Japanese media, and the concert-stage events are where its fandom actually cries in public. This is the first time those live musical events have been performed outside Japan, and Los Angeles is one of four cities on earth getting one, alongside London, Seoul and Yokohama. The performers are the seiyuu - the actual voice cast - which is the whole reason this is not a tribute show. Expect a theater where people have travelled for this and know every call-and-response. Thursday October 22 at eight, with a second night Friday.

BOYNEXTDOOR
Nov 20, 2026 Peacock Theater, 777 Chick Hearn C…

The group chat has been a countdown clock for weeks. Someone already has the lightstick charged. Someone else has the outfit planned down to the accessories — the shoes, the hair tie, all of it. You have listened to the setlist predictions on repeat so many times the algorithm thinks you have lost your mind. This is the cost of caring this much about a group, and you would not trade it for anything. BOYNEXTDOOR hits the Peacock Theater and the energy in that room is going to be something no recording captures — the fanchants in perfect unison, the moment the lights drop and you feel the bass in your sternum, the strangers next to you who know every word and every choreography detail because they have been in the same trenches online for months. This is their first Peacock Theater show in LA. The venue holds only 7,100 and keeps the crowd close — no nosebleed seats where you squint at a screen, just a room built for this kind of devotion. If you have been waiting for the right moment, this is the one. Friday, November 20, 2026 at 7:30 PM. Peacock Theater, 777 Chick Hearn Ct, LA 90015.

Plini - An Unnameable Desire North American Tour
Nov 7, 2026 Ventura Music Hall, 1888 E Thompso…

Instrumental music has to earn every single minute, because nobody is being carried along by a chorus or a story — and the crowd for this is unusually clear-eyed about that, which makes them a demanding audience and a generous one at once. Plini writes long-form guitar music that resolves rather than sprawls, warm where the genre is usually cold, and the online community that grew around it is one of the last genuinely nerdy corners of guitar culture: people posting tab, arguing about tone, learning the parts. A meaningful fraction of any room on this tour can play what is happening on stage, which changes the atmosphere entirely. Watch the front rows during the difficult passages. Music at 7:00 PM in Ventura on East Thompson Boulevard. This is a Saturday, and the players who come to it tend to travel in groups from whatever guitar forum or Discord raised them.

Anime Expo 2027 — Los Angeles Convention Center
Jul 1 – Jul 4, 2027 Los Angeles Convention Center, 120…

You will be tired in a way that feels earned. Four days, a hundred thousand people, and not one of them needs you to explain what you are talking about. The largest anime convention in North America takes the Los Angeles Convention Center over Fourth of July weekend and spills into the JW Marriott and the Ritz-Carlton beside it. Industry panels, screening rooms, autograph sessions with voice actors and composers, concerts that sell out weeks ahead. Studios from Japan use this as their main North American announcement stage — if a sequel or adaptation is being revealed, it often happens in a room you could be standing in. The exhibit hall carries imported merchandise and collaboration exclusives that surface nowhere else on the continent. Los Angeles Convention Center, 1201 S Figueroa St. Thursday through Sunday. Badges run from top-tier early-access down to single-day passes. Book the connected hotel corridor months out. Everyone who tells you that learned it the hard way.

Oceanside Sunset Market -- Summer 2026 Thursdays
Every Thursday · Next Oct 8 Free Coast Hwy & Pier View Way, Oceansi…

The Pacific is a block away. Every Thursday evening from 5 to 9 PM, the corner of Coast Highway and Pier View Way becomes the Oceanside Sunset Market — vendors, food, live music, and the light that only happens when you're that close to the water at that hour. The beach-town market that runs when the day is actually good. Local makers, artisans, food vendors, and the crowd that comes out because the evening earned it. The vendor mix is Oceanside-specific: local crafts, art, jewelry, produce, and the food vendors that the beach corridor supports. The live music stage runs throughout the evening. The Oceanside Pier is visible from the market — the setting does work the vendors don't have to. Free to attend. Parking available near the Pier. Every Thursday, May through September, 5-9 PM. Oceanside, California. The market runs through marine layer some evenings. The cooler Pacific air is part of the draw, not a reason to stay home.

Pacific Beach Night Market
Monthly · Next Nov 4 Free Bayard St and Garnet Ave, Pacific …

A hundred and fifty steps from the ocean, a corner of Pacific Beach turns into a block party that nobody had to organize you into. Fire pits going. Nine to twelve food vendors rotating week to week, so the thing you loved last time might be gone and the thing replacing it might be better. Live music that is genuinely local — acoustic sets, small bands, the occasional DJ. Games. A crowd of PB locals and students and people who simply wandered up from the beach still holding a towel. Past vendors have run birria tacos, banh mi, craft lemonade, Hawaiian shave ice, artisan pastries, small-batch hot sauces. A few craft sellers usually set up alongside. This is a neighborhood gathering, not a ticketed event. Free. No RSVP. You walk up. Bayard St and Garnet Ave, Pacific Beach. 5 to 9:30 PM. Bring a layer — it cools off fast after sunset, even in August.

Taste of Soul LA 2026
In 9 days · Oct 17 Free Crenshaw Blvd (Martin Luther King …

The smell reaches you before the stages do - barbecue and catfish and soul food covering a mile-plus of Crenshaw Boulevard, because every major Black-owned restaurant in South LA has a booth out here and the food is the center of the whole thing. For one Saturday in October, this stretch between Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Leimert Park Village becomes one of the largest street festivals in Los Angeles. More than 300,000 people move through in a single day. The format is street vendors, restaurant booths, live music stages, a car show, health screenings, and community organization presence - but it is the food and the crowd that make it. Founded by the Los Angeles Sentinel, the oldest Black-owned newspaper in California, it has run for over two decades and stayed a genuine community institution: multigenerational, neighborhood-rooted, and enormous. This is Leimert Park and Crenshaw at their fullest. Free to attend. Crenshaw closes to traffic for the day. The Metro K Line stops at Leimert Park Village and is the easiest way in and out. Arrive early if you want to move - by noon the crowds are deep.
