My Chemical Romance at the Hollywood Bowl -- October 2026
In 13 days · Oct 21 Hollywood Bowl, 2301 N Highland Av…

For a generation that grew up screaming along to Welcome to the Black Parade in bedrooms plastered with band posters, My Chemical Romance at the Hollywood Bowl on October 21 is not just a concert -- it is a summoning. The Bowl's open-air acoustics and the October night sky turn every anthem into something larger than it was on the record, and the crowd will sing louder than the PA system at least twice. MCR's catalog runs from the raw punk fury of I Brought You My Bullets to the theatrical grandeur of The Black Parade to the synth-soaked Danger Days, and a setlist at the Bowl will pull from all of it. The band has been selective about touring since their reunion, making every announced date feel like it might be the last one for a while. Two nights at the Bowl -- different setlists each -- and both will leave you hoarse. The Bowl sits at 2301 N Highland Avenue, just off the 101 in the Hollywood Hills.

Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis
Sep 23, 2026 Hollywood Bowl, 2301 N Highland Av…

Some nights you go to a concert. Some nights you go to watch an era close. This is the second kind, and the people who understand that will be in those seats whether or not it was a sensible week to spend the money. Wynton Marsalis has led this orchestra for a generation, turning a big band into the keeper of an entire American art form, and this is his final season directing it. He is spending part of that farewell on John Coltrane, a centennial program for the man who bent the saxophone toward the sacred, played under open sky by the finest big band working today. Lakecia Benjamin opens on saxophone before the orchestra takes up the Coltrane book. The Hollywood Bowl on a September evening, on the most beautiful stage in Los Angeles. The straight-ahead faithful will be there to mark the end of something. Go sit among them.

Juneteenth with Chance the Rapper — Hollywood Bowl 2026
Jun 19, 2026 Hollywood Bowl, 2301 N Highland Av…

Every June 19, the Hollywood Bowl hosts one of its biggest moments of the year. Chance the Rapper brings his Juneteenth celebration to the bowl in 2026 — free, outdoors, and the performer who built his reputation on shows that feel exactly like this. The Hollywood Bowl seats 17,500 people in the hills above Highland Avenue, with one of the best natural acoustic environments for live performance anywhere in California. Chance's catalog — from Acid Rap to The Big Day — was built for large-format outdoor shows: the gospel-inflected choruses, the crowd-facing improvisation, the way individual songs become communal rituals when he performs them live. A Juneteenth show is not a themed concert. It is the meaning of the music made explicit. Doors open at 6:30 PM. The show starts at 8:00 PM. The Hollywood Bowl is accessible via the Bowl Shuttle from Highland/Franklin and from the Park & Ride lots at the Sycamore Ave entrance — driving and parking in the adjacent Bowl lots is an option but fills early for high-demand shows. Bring layers; the Bowl cools fast after dark even in June. Tickets at AXS.

YOASOBI — US Tour Stop: Los Angeles
Aug 16, 2026 From $75 Hollywood Bowl, 2301 N Highland Av…

You either found them before 'Idol' became the song everyone knew, or you found them because of it, and at this point the distinction has stopped mattering to anyone but you. The premise was always strange: take a novel, one book, and turn it into a single pop song. It should not work as a career. Instead it produced a catalog that goes far deeper than the one breakthrough — 'Yoru ni Kakeru,' 'Gunjo,' 'Biri-Biri,' the tracks that quietly built an international audience years before the anime crowd arrived — and hearing them performed live, with a full production behind them, is a different animal from the headphones you learned them on. They do not come through Los Angeles often. Details at yoasobi-music.jp/en. Send this to the person who sent you the song. That is how this band has always travelled.

The Black Crowes, Tedeschi Trucks Band & Whiskey Myers at Hollywood Bowl
Aug 17, 2026 Hollywood Bowl, 2301 N Highland Av…

Some nights the guitars start talking to each other and you just happen to be in the room where it is happening. Three headliners share this stage for the first time. The Black Crowes bring the Southern swagger that made Shake Your Money Maker an instant classic. Tedeschi Trucks Band brings Derek Trucks — widely considered one of the greatest slide guitarists alive — next to Susan Tedeschi's voice, which could strip paint off a wall in the best possible way. Whiskey Myers brings red-dirt grit that fills honky-tonks and arenas with equal ease. This is not one headliner and two openers. It is three bands who all have something to prove to each other, outdoors, after dark. Hollywood Bowl, 2301 N Highland Ave. August 17, gates at 6 PM. The Bowl holds 17,500, and when all three are trading licks under the stars every seat turns into the front row.

Top Gun: Maverick in Concert — Hollywood Bowl Orchestra
Aug 15, 2026 Hollywood Bowl, 2301 N Highland Av…

The bench under you is wooden, and it vibrates. That is the detail nobody warns you about — an orchestra playing this score inside a natural amphitheater does not merely get loud, it moves the furniture you are sitting on. The film runs on the giant screen while the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra plays Faltermeyer, Zimmer, and Lady Gaga live underneath it, Lorne Balfe conducting. This is a film that won an Academy Award for Best Sound, being performed by people standing in front of you, which is about as close to the cockpit as anyone gets without a flight suit. Then the summer air goes dark over the hillside, Danger Zone lands, and seventeen thousand adults briefly forget they are adults. An evening show at the Bowl, with tickets through the box office. Take the parent who has watched the original more times than they will ever admit to you.

Hollywood Bowl — Tchaikovsky Spectacular 2026
Jul 31, 2026 Hollywood Bowl, 2301 N Highland Av…

It ends with cannon fire. Real cannons, synchronized to the score, and fireworks launched from the hill above the bowl until the Hollywood Hills themselves become part of the finale -- visible clear across Hollywood and the western San Fernando Valley. That is how the LA Philharmonic closes the Tchaikovsky Spectacular, and for decades it has been one of the most attended classical music events in the country. Running multiple nights each July, the program builds through Tchaikovsky's most dramatic orchestral showpieces toward the 1812 Overture, the cannon shots and fireworks timed to the music for the kind of scale no indoor concert hall can touch. The Hollywood Bowl's natural amphitheater, the open-air evening, the orchestral drama, the pyrotechnics -- it adds up to an experience generations of Angelenos have treated as a full night out rather than just a concert, picnicking in the boxes and terrace sections, which is not only permitted but actively encouraged. Bring the person you want to see a firework reflected in. The Hollywood Bowl is at 2301 N Highland Ave, Hollywood. These are the Bowl's most-attended nights of the season and parking fills hours before showtime, so take the Bowl shuttle from one of the park-and-ride locations.

Live music in a room like Hollywood Bowl has a specific physics: the sound arrives before you've decided how to feel about it, and The Human League With Very Special Guests Soft Cel has always known what to do with that. The Human League With Very Special Guests Soft Cel performs at Hollywood Bowl in Hollywood on June 4, 2026. Live shows at rooms this size leave a different imprint than arenas — the ones who go remember the set list; the ones who don't remember the night they said no.

Hollywood Bowl Opening Night 2026
Jun 14, 2026 Hollywood Bowl, 2301 N Highland Av…

The Hollywood Bowl's Opening Night marks the start of the summer season at one of the most beloved performance venues in the world — an outdoor amphitheater nestled in the Hollywood Hills where the LA Philharmonic has played for over a century. The 2026 Opening Night is a gala event with special programming that the regular season doesn't replicate, marking the transition from spring to the summer concert season. The Hollywood Bowl's natural acoustic shell focuses sound across the 18,000-capacity outdoor amphitheater while the hillside setting provides a backdrop of chaparral and the night sky above Hollywood. The venue's design — the white band shell, the terraced seating that gives every section a distinct character — makes the Bowl an architectural experience as much as a performance venue. Opening Night typically features the LA Philharmonic under its music director with special guest artists or programming designed to celebrate the season's thematic focus. The Box and Terrace sections include catered dining service; the Boxes and covered sections allow picnic arrangements with food and wine brought from home or purchased from the Bowl's restaurants. The Hollywood Bowl is at 2301 N Highland Ave in Hollywood, accessible from the 101 freeway (Highland Ave exit). Bowl shuttle service from the Park & Ride lots at Lake Avenue, the Hollywood/Highland Metro station, and other satellite locations is the recommended transportation — the Bowl's parking lots fill early and the shuttle significantly reduces the experience friction. Opening Night tickets are premium-priced and should be purchased through the LA Phil website as soon as the season schedule is announced.

Paul Simon
Jun 7, 2026 2301 N Highland Ave, Hollywood Bow…

Hollywood Bowl, 2301 N Highland Ave, Hollywood. June 7th. Paul Simon at the Hollywood Bowl — one of the most celebrated careers in American music, performing in the amphitheater that is, by almost universal agreement, the most perfect setting for exactly this kind of night. Paul Simon's catalog is fifty years of some of the most precisely observed songwriting in American music. "The Sound of Silence," "Bridge Over Troubled Water," "Graceland," "Slip Slidin' Away" — the songs that have been carrying people through their lives for generations, performed by their author in the outdoor amphitheater where the hillside and the stars and the summer air turn a concert into something you describe to people who weren't there for the rest of your life. Tickets at ticketmaster.com. June 7th. The Hollywood Bowl is the venue that makes a Paul Simon concert the event it should always have been. The reserved sections are where you hear every word. The lawn is where you see the whole frame. Get your ticket either way. June at the Bowl with Paul Simon is not the show you describe missing.

Mac DeMarco at Hollywood Bowl — Los Angeles
Tomorrow · Oct 9 2301 N Highland Ave, Los Angeles, …

Mac DeMarco built a career out of sounding like he does not care, which takes more care than most people realize. The slacker-rock tone, the gap-toothed grin, the songs that sound like they were recorded on a four-track in a friend's garage — all of it is precision disguised as nonchalance. At the Hollywood Bowl, that disguise becomes absurd in the best way: one of the most casually brilliant guitar players of his generation, performing in one of the most elegant outdoor venues in the world, for an audience that showed up in shorts and flip-flops because Mac would not have it any other way. The Bowl's natural acoustics turn the jangly guitar lines into something the hills amplify and the evening air softens. The setlist will be whatever Mac feels like playing, which is half the charm and all of the point. Friday, October 9. Hollywood Bowl, 2301 N Highland Ave, Los Angeles.

XG World Tour: The Core — Crypto.com Arena, Los Angeles
Nov 5, 2026 Crypto.com Arena, 1111 S Figueroa …

You have been playing the same sixteen tracks on a loop for months now. WOKE UP, GRL GVNG, PUPPET SHOW — the playlist is muscle memory at this point, every beat drop mapped to a different version of who you were when you first heard it. You know the choreography from the practice videos. You know the adlibs. You know which parts Jurin carries and where Cocona takes over and what happens when Harvey opens her mouth and the whole room changes temperature. XG is not quite K-pop and not quite J-pop and not quite anything that already has a name. Seven Japanese women, trained in Seoul, performing in English, making music that pulls from hip-hop, house, R&B and psychedelic pop without ever settling into one lane. They call it X-pop because there is no existing genre that fits. Their debut single Tippy Toes dropped in 2022 and the internet has not left them alone since. The group was formed by XGALX, a subsidiary of Avex, one of Japan's largest entertainment companies — but the sound they make belongs to no country and no category. The Core is their first world tour, and the Los Angeles stop lands at Crypto.com Arena on Thursday, November 5. This is an arena-scale show for a group that less than three years ago was playing venues a tenth the size. The Alphaz know what that means — and if you are reading this, you already know too. The fact that you are even here confirms it. General admission and reserved seating available through AXS. Doors open at 7:00 PM, show at 8:00 PM. Crypto.com Arena, 1111 S Figueroa St, Los Angeles, CA 90015.

You will be tired in a way that feels earned. Four days, a hundred thousand people, and not one of them needs you to explain what you are talking about. The largest anime convention in North America takes the Los Angeles Convention Center over Fourth of July weekend and spills into the JW Marriott and the Ritz-Carlton beside it. Industry panels, screening rooms, autograph sessions with voice actors and composers, concerts that sell out weeks ahead. Studios from Japan use this as their main North American announcement stage — if a sequel or adaptation is being revealed, it often happens in a room you could be standing in. The exhibit hall carries imported merchandise and collaboration exclusives that surface nowhere else on the continent. Los Angeles Convention Center, 1201 S Figueroa St. Thursday through Sunday. Badges run from top-tier early-access down to single-day passes. Book the connected hotel corridor months out. Everyone who tells you that learned it the hard way.

Oceanside Sunset Market -- Summer 2026 Thursdays
Every Thursday · Next Oct 8 Free Coast Hwy & Pier View Way, Oceansi…

The Pacific is a block away. Every Thursday evening from 5 to 9 PM, the corner of Coast Highway and Pier View Way becomes the Oceanside Sunset Market — vendors, food, live music, and the light that only happens when you're that close to the water at that hour. The beach-town market that runs when the day is actually good. Local makers, artisans, food vendors, and the crowd that comes out because the evening earned it. The vendor mix is Oceanside-specific: local crafts, art, jewelry, produce, and the food vendors that the beach corridor supports. The live music stage runs throughout the evening. The Oceanside Pier is visible from the market — the setting does work the vendors don't have to. Free to attend. Parking available near the Pier. Every Thursday, May through September, 5-9 PM. Oceanside, California. The market runs through marine layer some evenings. The cooler Pacific air is part of the draw, not a reason to stay home.

A hundred and fifty steps from the ocean, a corner of Pacific Beach turns into a block party that nobody had to organize you into. Fire pits going. Nine to twelve food vendors rotating week to week, so the thing you loved last time might be gone and the thing replacing it might be better. Live music that is genuinely local — acoustic sets, small bands, the occasional DJ. Games. A crowd of PB locals and students and people who simply wandered up from the beach still holding a towel. Past vendors have run birria tacos, banh mi, craft lemonade, Hawaiian shave ice, artisan pastries, small-batch hot sauces. A few craft sellers usually set up alongside. This is a neighborhood gathering, not a ticketed event. Free. No RSVP. You walk up. Bayard St and Garnet Ave, Pacific Beach. 5 to 9:30 PM. Taste of Soul LA 2026
In 9 days · Oct 17 Free Crenshaw Blvd (Martin Luther King …

The smell reaches you before the stages do - barbecue and catfish and soul food covering a mile-plus of Crenshaw Boulevard, because every major Black-owned restaurant in South LA has a booth out here and the food is the center of the whole thing. For one Saturday in October, this stretch between Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Leimert Park Village becomes one of the largest street festivals in Los Angeles. More than 300,000 people move through in a single day. The format is street vendors, restaurant booths, live music stages, a car show, health screenings, and community organization presence - but it is the food and the crowd that make it. Founded by the Los Angeles Sentinel, the oldest Black-owned newspaper in California, it has run for over two decades and stayed a genuine community institution: multigenerational, neighborhood-rooted, and enormous. This is Leimert Park and Crenshaw at their fullest. Free to attend. Crenshaw closes to traffic for the day. The Metro K Line stops at Leimert Park Village and is the easiest way in and out. Arrive early if you want to move - by noon the crowds are deep.
