UCLA Bruins vs Nevada Wolf Pack
Oct 31, 2026 $25+ Rose Bowl, 1001 Rose Bowl Dr, Pasa…

A Halloween-night football game in the Rose Bowl is the kind of only-in-California autumn ritual the rest of the country doesn't get — costumes in the student section, the San Gabriels going dark behind the rim of the old stadium, and a Bruins squad that treats a non-conference date against Nevada as a chance to put on a show under the lights. This is the friendly, unbuttoned end of the college football schedule: easy tickets, families welcome, the tailgate lots on the golf course lit up like a block party. Saturday, October 31, 2026, Rose Bowl, Pasadena. Come for the mountain sunset over the arroyo, stay for a fun, low-stakes Saturday night of Bruins football, and bring the kid in the costume — this is the most relaxed way to see a game in the most beautiful stadium in the country.

Rose Bowl Game 2027
Jan 1, 2027 Rose Bowl Stadium, 1001 Rose Bowl …

New Year's Day has a shape here it does not have anywhere else: floats down Colorado Boulevard in the morning, and by afternoon ninety thousand people in an open-air bowl that has stood on the same ground since 1923. Do both and the day becomes one continuous thing. The Granddaddy of Them All is the oldest bowl game in college football, and the open sky is the whole difference — no enclosed stadium reproduces a January afternoon in Pasadena with the mountains sitting behind the rim. Brookside Park fills with tailgates from early morning, and the RV lots are a tradition of their own among people who have been coming for decades. Take the Gold Line in on game day; it beats driving and skips the lots entirely. The matchup is not settled until the December championships, which is half the fun. Commit to the day before you know who is playing.

96th Annual AmericaFest — Rose Bowl, Pasadena 2026
Jul 4, 2026 From $20 1001 Rose Bowl Dr, Pasadena, CA 91…

Some people think a backyard sparkler is enough for the Fourth. The crew at the Rose Bowl has spent ninety-six years arguing the opposite — that the right way to mark the day is to put a hundred thousand people inside America's Stadium and set off the largest fireworks show on the West Coast over their heads. AmericaFest is built to fill a whole day. Gates and the Family Fun Zone open at 1pm. TNT Freestyle Motocross comes back for a thirty-minute, high-flying show, country artist Drake Milligan plays, and the night leans into the stadium's own century of history before Pyro Spectaculars by Souza takes over the sky. Families spread blankets across the field, kids run loose until dark, and when the first shell goes up the whole bowl tilts its head back at the same moment. Saturday, July 4, 2026. Rose Bowl Stadium, 1001 Rose Bowl Drive, Pasadena. Lots open at 1pm; tickets start around $20 and kids 5 and under are free for general admission. Bring a blanket, get there early, and stay for the part a backyard can't give you.

FoodieLand Food Festival Los Angeles 2026
Jul 3 – Jul 5, 2026 20.0 Rose Bowl Stadium, 1001 Rose Bowl …

Two hundred fifty vendors at the Rose Bowl means three days of deciding. That's the festival. FoodieLand returns to Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena for July 3-5, 2026 — the nation's largest multicultural food festival, bringing together local and regional vendors, artisan shops, and live music against the backdrop of a stadium that holds the scale. The vendor mix reflects Los Angeles: Korean BBQ, Filipino cuisine, Mexican street food, Japanese desserts, Peruvian ceviche, and the independent restaurant operators who don't have permanent brick-and-mortar in the neighborhoods you're from. Many vendors are pop-up only — this is where you find them. The Fourth of July falls on Day 2. Expect the largest single-day attendance on Saturday the 4th. The live music programming runs throughout. Free parking. Open July 3-5. Rose Bowl Stadium, Pasadena. Most vendors are cash-preferred — bring both. The scale means you'll cover more ground with flexibility. Come hungry and come with time.

Head In The Clouds Festival 2026 — Pasadena
Aug 8, 2026 $179+ Brookside at the Rose Bowl, 360 N …

You get homesick for a room you did not know existed. Somewhere between the bass drop and the third bowl of pho it lands on you: this place was built for people who spent years being the only one in every other room. Katseye headline a lineup that reads like the group chat your coolest friend curates. XG bring razor-sharp choreography out of Japan, Rich Brian delivers the bars that put Jakarta on the map, UMI turns the sunset into a lullaby, and Dabin.kr reminds everyone Korean R&B did not begin with the algorithm. Food threads through the art installations. The merch drops are gone by mid-afternoon. One day on a wide field under the San Gabriel Mountains in Pasadena, gates at midday, music until dark. It is all ages, which matters, because the crowd runs three generations of the same family: grandparents who remember when none of this existed, parents who fought for it, and kids who assume it always did.

While you are looking Different scene, same night out.

Pasadena Latino Heritage Parade & Festival 2026 — City Hall
In 2 days · Oct 10 Pasadena City Hall, 100 N Garfield…

Somebody in your family knows the words to a song you only know the tune of. You have been meaning to ask. You keep not asking, and the number of people who could answer keeps getting smaller. For its twenty-eighth year, Pasadena hands over Los Robles Avenue and the lawn in front of City Hall for an afternoon. The parade steps off at four with local schools, community groups, neighbours and elected officials, and it is unmistakably a hometown parade rather than a produced spectacle — the marching band is from the high school down the street, and half the crowd is waving at somebody they know in it. The festival opens at five in front of City Hall, which is the part worth staying for. Pasadena's City Hall is a domed Mediterranean building with an open courtyard, and when the sun goes and the music starts it becomes one of the more beautiful places in the county to stand with a plate of food you did not have to queue long for. Saturday, October 10, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Parade begins at Los Robles Avenue and Buckeye Street; festival at Pasadena City Hall, 100 N Garfield Ave. Free, all ages.

Anime Expo 2027 — Los Angeles Convention Center

You will be tired in a way that feels earned. Four days, a hundred thousand people, and not one of them needs you to explain what you are talking about. The largest anime convention in North America takes the Los Angeles Convention Center over Fourth of July weekend and spills into the JW Marriott and the Ritz-Carlton beside it. Industry panels, screening rooms, autograph sessions with voice actors and composers, concerts that sell out weeks ahead. Studios from Japan use this as their main North American announcement stage — if a sequel or adaptation is being revealed, it often happens in a room you could be standing in. The exhibit hall carries imported merchandise and collaboration exclusives that surface nowhere else on the continent. Los Angeles Convention Center, 1201 S Figueroa St. Thursday through Sunday. Badges run from top-tier early-access down to single-day passes. Book the connected hotel corridor months out. Everyone who tells you that learned it the hard way.

A hundred and fifty steps from the ocean, a corner of Pacific Beach turns into a block party that nobody had to organize you into. Fire pits going. Nine to twelve food vendors rotating week to week, so the thing you loved last time might be gone and the thing replacing it might be better. Live music that is genuinely local — acoustic sets, small bands, the occasional DJ. Games. A crowd of PB locals and students and people who simply wandered up from the beach still holding a towel. Past vendors have run birria tacos, banh mi, craft lemonade, Hawaiian shave ice, artisan pastries, small-batch hot sauces. A few craft sellers usually set up alongside. This is a neighborhood gathering, not a ticketed event. Free. No RSVP. You walk up. Bayard St and Garnet Ave, Pacific Beach. 5 to 9:30 PM. Bring a layer — it cools off fast after sunset, even in August.

Taste of Soul LA 2026
In 9 days · Oct 17 Free Crenshaw Blvd (Martin Luther King …

The smell reaches you before the stages do - barbecue and catfish and soul food covering a mile-plus of Crenshaw Boulevard, because every major Black-owned restaurant in South LA has a booth out here and the food is the center of the whole thing. For one Saturday in October, this stretch between Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Leimert Park Village becomes one of the largest street festivals in Los Angeles. More than 300,000 people move through in a single day. The format is street vendors, restaurant booths, live music stages, a car show, health screenings, and community organization presence - but it is the food and the crowd that make it. Founded by the Los Angeles Sentinel, the oldest Black-owned newspaper in California, it has run for over two decades and stayed a genuine community institution: multigenerational, neighborhood-rooted, and enormous. This is Leimert Park and Crenshaw at their fullest. Free to attend. Crenshaw closes to traffic for the day. The Metro K Line stops at Leimert Park Village and is the easiest way in and out. Arrive early if you want to move - by noon the crowds are deep.
