The Chargers come home to SoFi for a November showdown with the Houston Texans, a franchise that has become one of the most watchable teams in the AFC. C.J. Stroud brought the Texans back to relevance and the national conversation; this is the kind of matchup where both fanbases show up knowing their team has a real shot at January football.
November at SoFi hits different. The summer heat is gone. The late-afternoon light slants through the oculus and catches the field at that angle that makes you understand why they built this place with an open roof. The crowd leans in harder in November — every game matters more, every third-down conversion sounds louder, every incompletion carries weight. The Chargers' home crowd has found its voice in Inglewood, and a 1:05 PM Sunday kickoff means the tailgate starts at sunrise along the parking lots and the food trucks that line Prairie Avenue.
This is the stretch of the season where you learn what a team is made of. The Chargers and Texans are both building something real, and this game is where those ambitions collide.
Kickoff is 1:05 PM on CBS. SoFi Stadium, 1001 Stadium Dr, Inglewood, CA 90301. Grab seats on Ticketmaster before November gets loud.

The NFL has never played on Thanksgiving Eve before. On November 25, 2026, that changes — and the stage is SoFi Stadium, the Rams hosting the Packers in a primetime game that streams exclusively on Netflix. The league could have picked any matchup to make history. They picked this one.
There is something about a Wednesday night football game during the week nobody works. The whole city is already in holiday mode. Traffic is lighter. People are flying in. Extended family is arriving. And now, instead of the dead air between landing and the turkey, there is a game — the kind of game you build the evening around. The Rams and Packers have history that goes back decades, and this particular installment comes in Week 12 when both teams are fighting for playoff positioning.
Kickoff is 5:00 PM Pacific. The Netflix broadcast means you can watch it from your aunt's couch in another state, but being in the building for a first-of-its-kind NFL event is the kind of thing you tell people about for years.
SoFi Stadium, 1001 Stadium Dr, Inglewood, CA 90301. Find tickets on Ticketmaster — this one sells itself.

There is no such thing as a Cowboys road game and there never has been. Whatever the standings say in December, that star shows up in numbers no other visiting team manages, carried by people who have never been to Texas and inherited the thing from a grandparent who watched them on national television every Thanksgiving of the 1970s. Expect the building to be genuinely split, expect the away crowd to be loud early, and expect the home end to take it personally, which is exactly the condition under which a late-season afternoon becomes memorable rather than merely attended. This is week fifteen, which in most seasons is when the arithmetic stops being hypothetical and every result starts changing something. The 1:25 window means you are out of Inglewood before dark with the rest of a Sunday still available. December 20. If you have been waiting all year for the one with an edge on it, this is that one.

SoFi Stadium at full capacity for a K-pop show is its own cultural moment. Stray Kids bring their dominATE World Tour to Inglewood on May 31, 2026 — one of the most anticipated K-pop stadium shows of the year, and a production that uses every inch of one of the most technologically advanced venues in the country.
The eight-member group from JYP Entertainment has built one of the most dedicated fandoms in the world, known as STAY, and their live performances are celebrated for raw energy, precision choreography, and emotionally charged setlists that move through their full discography. The OCULUS video screen above the field provides a visual experience matched nowhere else in Southern California. Productions at this scale feature elaborate stage design, pyrotechnics, and a lighting system that transforms the stadium into a single instrument.
For STAY in Southern California, this is the concert of the year. Arrive early for merchandise lines and pre-show programming.
Tickets available via Ticketmaster. Floor general admission and reserved seating in all levels. The Inglewood Transit Connector and Metro C Line service the stadium area — rideshare or rail strongly recommended for faster entry and exit.

Los Angeles Convention Center, 120…
You will be tired in a way that feels earned. Four days, a hundred thousand people, and not one of them needs you to explain what you are talking about.
The largest anime convention in North America takes the Los Angeles Convention Center over Fourth of July weekend and spills into the JW Marriott and the Ritz-Carlton beside it. Industry panels, screening rooms, autograph sessions with voice actors and composers, concerts that sell out weeks ahead. Studios from Japan use this as their main North American announcement stage — if a sequel or adaptation is being revealed, it often happens in a room you could be standing in.
The exhibit hall carries imported merchandise and collaboration exclusives that surface nowhere else on the continent.
Los Angeles Convention Center, 1201 S Figueroa St. Thursday through Sunday. Badges run from top-tier early-access down to single-day passes.
Book the connected hotel corridor months out. Everyone who tells you that learned it the hard way.

Bayard St and Garnet Ave, Pacific …
A hundred and fifty steps from the ocean, a corner of Pacific Beach turns into a block party that nobody had to organize you into.
Fire pits going. Nine to twelve food vendors rotating week to week, so the thing you loved last time might be gone and the thing replacing it might be better. Live music that is genuinely local — acoustic sets, small bands, the occasional DJ. Games. A crowd of PB locals and students and people who simply wandered up from the beach still holding a towel.
Past vendors have run birria tacos, banh mi, craft lemonade, Hawaiian shave ice, artisan pastries, small-batch hot sauces. A few craft sellers usually set up alongside.
This is a neighborhood gathering, not a ticketed event. Free. No RSVP. You walk up.

Crenshaw Blvd (Martin Luther King …
The smell reaches you before the stages do - barbecue and catfish and soul food covering a mile-plus of Crenshaw Boulevard, because every major Black-owned restaurant in South LA has a booth out here and the food is the center of the whole thing. For one Saturday in October, this stretch between Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Leimert Park Village becomes one of the largest street festivals in Los Angeles.
More than 300,000 people move through in a single day. The format is street vendors, restaurant booths, live music stages, a car show, health screenings, and community organization presence - but it is the food and the crowd that make it. Founded by the Los Angeles Sentinel, the oldest Black-owned newspaper in California, it has run for over two decades and stayed a genuine community institution: multigenerational, neighborhood-rooted, and enormous. This is Leimert Park and Crenshaw at their fullest.
Free to attend. Crenshaw closes to traffic for the day. The Metro K Line stops at Leimert Park Village and is the easiest way in and out. Arrive early if you want to move - by noon the crowds are deep.

400-500 5th Ave, Gaslamp Quarter, …
Every Saturday and Sunday, the heart of San Diego historic Gaslamp Quarter transforms into an outdoor open-air artisan market. The Gaslamp Artisan Market -- known as GLAM -- runs the length of 5th Avenue between Market Street and J Street, with 70 local artisans showcasing handmade, one-of-a-kind goods. The market hosts live music from local musicians throughout the day. GLAM is free to attend and open to all ages. Shaded seating is available. The market runs 10 AM to 4 PM. Getting there: Located in the Gaslamp Quarter, easily accessible by trolley (Gaslamp Quarter station on the Blue and Orange line). Street parking and paid lots available on nearby blocks. Pioneer Boulevard shuts down, and for one day the biggest Little India in Southern California becomes the biggest Diwali party west of the Mississippi.
The Artesia Diwali Mela takes over seven blocks of Pioneer Boulevard — from 183rd Street to 188th Street — with a main stage of Indian music and dance performances, dozens of food vendors serving everything from chaat to biryani to fresh jalebi, cultural booths, merchants with jewelry and textiles, and a street-level energy that makes Diwali feel like exactly what it is: the festival of lights brought to life in a California parking lane.
Sunday, November 10, 2026, 11 AM to 10 PM. Pioneer Boulevard, Artesia, CA. Free admission.
If you know someone who grew up celebrating Diwali and hasn't been to this yet, send them this. If you didn't grow up celebrating Diwali and want to understand why a billion people do — come find out.

Broadway Pier, 1000 North Harbor D…
Your chest hears them before your ears do. A sound comes in off the water, every conversation on the Embarcadero stops mid-sentence, and a few thousand heads tilt back at the same moment. This is the week the Blue Angels belong to San Diego Bay, flying low enough that the downtown skyline becomes their backdrop.
What visitors miss is the quieter half. You can walk aboard Navy destroyers, submarines, and amphibious ships free of charge, up the gangway and into the passageways where somebody's kid stands on deployment. The Parade of Ships moves through the bay, the bands play, and the city says out loud that the Navy is its largest employer. This is not a show San Diego hosts. It is San Diego looking at itself.
Free, family-friendly, on the Broadway Pier and Embarcadero in October, and the trolley beats parking on air show day. Bring the person who has never stood underneath one of those passes.
