Gallagher Square at Petco Park, 10…
You do not outgrow the songs that held you together at sixteen. You just stop hearing them out loud until a night like this reminds you they have been playing underneath everything — in the car when you are alone, in the shower when nobody judges your singing, in the quiet moment before sleep when the chorus comes back unbidden.
Taking Back Sunday, Thrice, and Saves the Day — three bands that shaped an entire generation of people who wore their hearts too visibly and screamed along in bedrooms — share a stage at Petco Park's Gallagher Square. The outdoor setup means you will hear "MakeDamnSure" with the downtown skyline behind the stage and the October air cooling the sweat off your neck.
This is not a nostalgia act. These bands are still touring because the songs still work and the rooms still fill. The crowd will be people who found each other in high school parking lots and never fully left that version of themselves behind. Bring the friend who burned you that first CD.

Gallagher Square at Petco Park, 10…
A baseball stadium in October, after the season has ended for everyone who is not still playing, is one of the loneliest structures in a city. Then somebody puts a sound system in the outfield and forty thousand empty seats become the backdrop instead of the point.
UK garage was a London thing that stayed a London thing for twenty-five years — skippy two-step drums, pitched-up vocals, a swing that American dance music never really borrowed. Sammy Virji is most of the reason that changed. He spent the last few years turning a regional British sound into something that fills rooms on this side of the Atlantic, and the American crowds who found it did so entirely through the internet, which means they arrive knowing every edit and having never once heard it in a club.
Gallagher Square sits inside the ballpark past center field, open-air, with the downtown skyline behind it. Five in the afternoon start, which means the set runs from daylight into dark.
Saturday the seventeenth of October, five until eleven, at the ballpark on Park Boulevard.

When Juanes plays A Dios Le Pido in a stadium full of people who grew up hearing it in their parents' car, something happens that transcends a concert. It becomes a room where two generations share the same feeling at the same moment, and neither one needs to explain it to the other.
Juanes brings his North America Tour 2026 to Petco Park in San Diego on Thursday, October 22 at 8 PM. A stadium show at Petco means the full production — the kind of scale that lets a performer who already commands attention from the first note fill every corner of a ballpark designed to hold 40,000 people. Juanes has been the bridge between Colombian rock and the global Latin music stage for over two decades, and a Petco Park date signals that his draw in San Diego doesn't need a smaller room.
Petco Park is in the heart of the Gaslamp Quarter at 100 Park Blvd, with direct trolley access from the 12th and Imperial station. Pre-show dinner in the Gaslamp is a tradition for Petco concerts — the neighborhood comes alive on event nights.
Two decades of music and a stadium that knows how to hold a crowd. The Gaslamp after dark is part of the show.

Halloween falling on a Saturday is a rare alignment and the city treats it accordingly. Most of what is on offer that night is indoors and dark. This one is in a ballpark, outdoors, starting while it is still light.
Chris Stussy came out of Amsterdam playing a jacking, stripped-back strain of house that spread across Europe before American promoters caught up. His sets are patient — long stretches where very little changes and then everything does — which works far better in an open-air space than in a low-ceilinged club. Gallagher Square sits past center field with the downtown towers behind it, and a five o'clock start means the set moves from daylight through sunset into full dark, which is the arc this music was built for.
Saturday the thirty-first, gates at five, at the ballpark on Park Boulevard. Costumes are not required but you will be outnumbered.

Sacramento made them and the Inland Empire shaped them, but San Diego is where they throw the party — thirty thousand people standing in a baseball stadium screaming lyrics that were written for a bedroom with the lights off. The lineup reads like a playlist you would build to explain yourself to somebody who almost understands: AFI for the theatrics, Converge for the violence, The Neighbourhood for the midnight drive, Jehnny Beth for the art-school intensity, and Ladrones, Lip Critic, Lustsickpuppy and BKTHERULA filling the spaces between with things that refuse to sit in one genre. It is not really a concert. It is a day-long identity confirmation disguised as a festival, held where people normally eat garlic fries and argue about the infield fly rule, and the collision of venue and mood is the entire point. If you know, you know. If you do not, the person beside you will be loud enough to teach you.

Dark Red comes on in the car and nobody says anything. Not because they do not like it — because they all feel it at the same time. That guitar tone does something to your chest before the lyrics even land. Steve Lacy writes songs for that exact version of you — the one who is thinking about it but not saying anything about it.
Lacy built his reputation as the youngest member of The Internet, Syd's Grammy-nominated collective from the Odd Future orbit, before Bad Habit turned him into a generational voice in 2022. His guitar work is deceptively simple. His falsetto cracks in places that feel intentional. The production is warm and analog and sounds like it was recorded in a room where someone recently burned incense. He makes R&B for people who also listen to Radiohead and are not embarrassed about either.
The Oh yeah? Tour brings him to Gallagher Square at Petco Park in San Diego on Thursday, November 19. This is the outdoor stage adjacent to the ballpark — open air, downtown skyline, and a crowd that already knows every word to Helmet before the set list drops. If you have a person who needs to hear this live, you already know who they are.

Mar 25 – Mar 27, 2027
Petco Park, 100 Park Blvd, San Die…
One morning every spring the whole city looks up at once. Nothing has been decided yet. Everyone is still in it. No game in July can reproduce the specific holiday feeling of a season that has not gone wrong.
Petco sits inside the East Village instead of behind a moat of parking, and the old brick Western Metal building is built directly into the left-field corner, a warehouse somebody refused to knock down and turned into seats instead. The bowl keeps every seat close to the field. The Park at the Park fills with people who never bought a ticket and came anyway. Afterward the whole neighborhood absorbs the crowd and the day keeps going long past the final out.
Downtown San Diego, walkable from the Gaslamp, trolley right to the door.
Take the person who taught you the game. Or take the one you are still teaching.

There's a version of you that dances under open sky with glitter on your collarbones, surrounded by strangers who already feel like your people. You've been carrying that version around for months, maybe years, waiting for the right room.
This is it. Empire of the Sun brings their full theatrics to San Diego — Luke Steele's golden headdress, that neon-soaked synth-pop spectacle that feels less like a concert and more like a ceremony for anyone who ever loved the '80s without living through them. Polo & Pan opens the evening with their Parisian house warmth, the kind that makes you sway before you even realize your feet moved. Midnight Generation primes the crowd before the sun drops behind the stadium.
Gallagher Square is the outdoor venue at Petco Park — no baseball tonight, just a concrete field that turns into a dance floor when the lasers hit. The October air hits different out here. People who came alone end up in groups by the second song. All ages.

The sound a sold-out Petco Park makes in October is different and everyone who has heard it will tell you so without being asked. Not louder exactly - lower, more like the building itself is involved. This city waited a long time for home playoff baseball to be an ordinary expectation rather than a once-a-decade accident, and this is the night the series comes back from Milwaukee with everything still to decide. The Padres swept the Cubs to get here and then opened this round on the road against the top seed, which means the first pitch downtown lands on a crowd that has spent four days watching on other people's televisions and wants a turn. Gaslamp fills from about four o'clock. The Park at the Park fills with people who never got a ticket and come anyway, which is its own argument about what this team is to this town, and the view from that lawn over the right field wall is better than it has any business being. First pitch is six thirty on a Tuesday. Bring a layer; the marine air comes over the bleachers once the sun drops behind the Western Metal building.

A one o'clock Sunday game is the sort your dad used to leave on in the background while something cooked. This one will not be background anywhere in this county.
The lawn opens again, same five dollars, and a Sunday crowd is a different animal from a Saturday one — more strollers, more sunscreen, more people who decided around eleven that they could not sit at home and wait for a score alert. Nobody actually sits. The videoboard past the outfield wall is large enough that you forget you are not at the real thing, right up until a strike call goes the wrong way and three thousand people groan at a screen in unison. The team store stays open and a few concession stands run, so nobody has to leave the lawn and miss half an inning.
Gallagher Square at Petco Park, 100 Park Boulevard. Gates at noon, an hour before first pitch. Whatever this series turns into, this crowd reassembles for it.

Road playoff games have a geography problem. Your team plays the most important night of its year and you are four states from the noise, taking it in off a screen in a quiet room, alone with every pitch.
So they open the lawn. Five dollars puts you on the grass behind the outfield wall with a few thousand people feeling the exact same thing at the exact same moment, which turns out to be most of what anybody wanted. The board at the Sycuan Stage runs seventy-five feet across. The playground stays open for the kids who do not care yet, and anyone under three feet tall gets in free. The five dollars is barely a price anyway — the net proceeds go to the Padres Foundation.
Gallagher Square at Petco Park, 100 Park Boulevard. Gates open an hour before the 5:30 first pitch. The whole city does this together or it does not do it at all.

The accordion does not wait for the ninth inning. Somewhere between the last out and the walk to the parking structure, the same grass you just watched a ballgame on turns into something your grandfather would recognize — the opening bars of a corrido drifting over the outfield, thousands of people who came for baseball singing words they learned before they learned English.
That is how the Sunday of Hispanic Heritage Weekend ends at Petco. Los Tucanes de Tijuana, the band that turned the sound of the border into stadium music, playing free in Gallagher Square after the Padres and the Diamondbacks finish in the afternoon. For families who have always lived in two countries at once, this is not a ballpark promotion. It is a homecoming with a box score.
One catch worth knowing: the concert runs on the Sunday theme package. A regular seat will not get you in, and neither will the Friday or Saturday version.
Send it to your tío. He already knows every word.

By late September the standings have stopped being an abstraction, and for a Padres team fighting for October, the final homestand of the regular season carries a weight the April games never do. The Diamondbacks are old NL West rivals — the kind of opponent whose every win feels personal — and this closing series at Petco is exactly the sort of stretch where a season gets decided in real time, in front of a crowd that knows precisely what is at stake with every pitch. There is nothing quite like a meaningful late-season ballgame: the tension in the between-innings quiet, the roar when the rally starts, forty thousand people living and dying on a full count. Friday, September 25, 2026, evening first pitch, downtown San Diego. Come be part of the last homestand of the year, when every out matters and the whole ballpark leans in together toward whatever October holds.

Somewhere in the upper deck there is a teenager who has never watched a full nine innings in her life, screaming louder than anyone in the building, because tonight the Padres are hers. When a stadium hands out a light-up bobblehead for the animated phenomenon that put a fictional K-pop group at the top of the actual charts, it quietly becomes the one night the baseball diehards and the fandom that memorized every Huntr/x lyric end up in the same seats, slowly discovering they genuinely like each other. That is the strange alchemy of a theme night: the sport becomes the excuse, the fandom becomes the reason, and by the seventh-inning stretch nobody quite remembers which one they came for anymore. The giveaway is limited and the line forms early, so the people who care show up the moment gates open. Bring the friend who sent you the whole soundtrack at two in the morning. It lights up Petco Park when the Marlins are in town in mid-September.

Watching a band walk off a stage for the last time in the city where they first plugged in does something no other night of a tour can do. Pierce The Veil close their three-year I Can't Hear You World Tour in San Diego, and Petco Park stops being a ballpark for one evening and becomes the final chapter of a twenty-year story that started in local clubs a few miles from the outfield. The show sold out, which tells you what the city already decided about it. For the people who screamed along to King for a Day at Soma in 2007 and for the ones who found the band through a friend's playlist last year, the night is the same thing: proof that it meant what you thought it meant. A hometown crowd at a hometown farewell holds nothing back. If somebody in your life has been waiting half of it for this, you already know exactly who to send this to.

There's a frequency you feel before you hear it. A bassline that doesn't ask permission — it arrives in your chest and stays there, and for the length of one night the whole park belongs to it.
Chase & Status have spent two decades proving that drum and bass isn't niche. It's a force. The duo that started in North London council flats and ended up headlining festivals across four continents brings their live show to Gallagher Square at Petco Park on September 6, the open-air concert venue just beyond the outfield wall. LED Presents is behind this one — the same crew that books the names San Diego's electronic community actually travels for.
If you've never felt DnB on a proper sound system outdoors, this is the corrective. The crowd skews younger, the energy peaks early and doesn't let go, and the bass rolls in off the bay. Doors at 6 PM, 18+ with VIP areas 21+. Expect support acts that lean hard into dubstep and garage. This isn't background music at a bar. This is the main event, in a venue where you can see the sky and the skyline while the subs rearrange your internal organs.

There are series you attend and series you measure yourself against. A visiting club with twenty-seven championships and a road section in every ballpark in America is the second kind, and everyone in the building knows it before the first pitch leaves the hand.
Early September at Petco, with the division race at its most urgent, is a different animal than a June weeknight. An American League club of that particular weight creates an energy divisional opponents simply cannot replicate — the away section will be loud and it will be visible, and the home crowd answers with the specific edge of people defending their own park in their own pennant race.
That is what makes it a benchmark instead of a game. You find out what a season is actually made of against a team that has nothing to do with your standings.
Bring the friend who grew up wearing pinstripes in the wrong city. Put them in your section and see whose voice gives out first.

Three names that made hip-hop a religion walk onto a stage built for baseball, and the entire history of the genre shows up with them.
Nas is the poet who turned Queensbridge into literature. The Roots are the band that proved hip-hop could be played live with instruments and lose nothing — if anything, gain everything. De La Soul brought joy and weirdness and Daisy Age optimism to a genre that did not know it needed any of it.
Putting all three on one stage only happens when somebody decides the audience deserves more than a headliner and two openers. If you grew up on Illmatic or Things Fall Apart or 3 Feet High and Rising, you already know what the night means.
Gallagher Square at Petco Park, 100 Park Blvd. August 27.
It is not a concert so much as a living museum, except this one hits harder than anything behind glass.

Watching a grown adult in full business-casual clothes clutch a Sanrio jersey like it's the Stanley Cup is its own specific kind of joy. On Hello Kitty day the ballpark goes soft and pink and slightly unhinged, and the crowd fills with people who came for the bow, not the box score, Sanrio kids now grown up, moms and daughters in matching everything, a whole aesthetic that has nothing to do with baseball colliding warmly with a sleepy Wednesday day game. The Padres have run this a few times now, and the jersey resells for a small fortune, which is exactly why the true believers are in line well before first pitch. It's the rare afternoon at the park where the single cutest thing in the entire building is not the mascot. Bring the person whose whole personality is one small white cat. It happens at Petco Park on a Wednesday afternoon, Pirates in town.

Interleague weekends bring opponents most Padres fans only ever see on the highlight reel, and a visit from the Minnesota Twins is a rare chance to watch an American League club up close at Petco — different lineup, different history, the novelty of unfamiliar names in the box. Day baseball on a Sunday in San Diego is its own particular pleasure: the sun high over the third-base side, families filling the Park at the Park beyond center, the unhurried rhythm of an afternoon with nowhere else to be. It is the version of the sport built for lingering — a hot dog, a scorecard, a kid's first foul ball, nine innings that ask nothing of you but your attention. Sunday, August 23, 2026, afternoon first pitch, downtown San Diego. Make a whole lazy day of it, get there for the giveaways, and come let a Sunday at the ballpark do what only a Sunday at the ballpark can.

A community in this county shows up enormous for one another and almost never gets a stadium to do it in, until this one night. Pacific Islander Heritage at Petco hands out a jersey designed by Tatau Brand, and the aisles fill with families who drove down from all over Southern California, because seeing your culture stitched onto a big-league uniform, even for a single game, does something a highlight reel never could. There is siva, an ocean of matching jerseys, and the particular warmth of a group long used to being a footnote suddenly taking up the entire lower bowl. Baseball is only the frame here; the reunion is the actual picture on the wall. The jersey is limited and the good sections go fast, so the families who care arrive early and arrive deep. For a lot of families in this city the border is not a line, it's a commute, and this is the night the ballpark finally says so out loud. Mexican Heritage night at Petco pulls in the fans who grew up with baseball on one side of the fence and futbol on the other, who take the Pacifico-presented jersey every bit as seriously as any playoff ticket, who hear the mariachi strike up between innings and feel something quietly settle in their chest. San Diego and Tijuana have always been one metropolitan heartbeat pretending to be two separate cities, and for nine innings the Padres belong fully and equally to both. The limited jersey is the real draw, and the community rows fill early, three generations deep in the same section. Bring your tio who has strong opinions about everything, especially the batting order. It happens at Petco Park on a Friday night when the Twins come to town.

A year ago he was playing bars. Now the stage is a ballpark, and the speed of that climb tells you most of what you need to know about what happens when a voice lands on a generation that was already waiting for exactly that sound. Tucker Wetmore brings The Brunette World Tour to Petco Park on the back of a breakout that turned a rising country artist into a stadium act in what felt like a single season. The songs got here first. They have been living in playlists and truck speakers for months, which means the crowd knows every word before the buses pull in, and the stadium is simply where they finally get sung back at full volume. If country's new wave is your thing, heartland storytelling with a modern edge and no apology for either half, this is your night. If you are still working out who he is, this is the show that explains why forty thousand people already know. Bring whoever sends you songs at midnight.

Petco Park, 100 Park Blvd, San Die…
Folk music written by somebody who left a small town and never quite made it all the way back carries a very specific ache — and forty thousand people in a baseball stadium screaming every word of it is the closest thing to a congregation secular America has managed to build.
His gift is writing songs that sound like diary entries you forgot making. 'Stick Season' broke something open for a whole generation of people who needed permission to miss a place they were desperate to leave, and this show sold out fast enough to confirm what the streaming numbers already said out loud.
Gigi Perez opens, with the sort of confessional writing that makes a stadium go quiet in the best way. Petco is open-air, so the songs have somewhere to go — they climb up out of the bowl and dissolve over the Gaslamp.
Bring your parents. They will cry at different songs than you do, and that is the entire point of the evening.

Nobody warns you that the parking lot is the opening act. Hours before the first note, the tailgate spreads out across the asphalt until the whole thing becomes a small town that assembled itself in an afternoon and will dissolve by midnight.
Two headliners who each built a career on songs made to be shouted back by a stadium, sharing one stage inside a ballpark, on one of only four stops anywhere on the run. If you know every word to 'Country Girl' and 'Dirt Road Anthem,' this is worth the ticket, the surge pricing, and the Monday morning you will lose to it. If you are a casual country listener, it is honestly not for you. It is for the person whose truck radio has not changed stations in over a decade.
Get there early for the lot. The open concourse means you can wander off for a beer without losing the show, and the Gaslamp is a walk away when it ends.
Bring whoever first taught you the words.

Forty thousand people breathing at the same time in the dark is not a metaphor. It happened in this ballpark, and people were still describing it months afterward.
RUFUS DU SOL build sets the slow way — layer on layer, no early payoff — until an entire stadium is locked to one frequency, which is the trick that has kept them from ever choosing between scale and intimacy. Ben Bohmer opens with the aching melodic house that made him a festival fixture on four continents. Maribou State and Fcukers fill out a support card good enough to have been its own night.
Gates open in the early evening at Petco Park, and it is an all-ages show.
Get there before the first set: the sunset over the Western Metal Supply building is the opening act nobody puts on the poster. Bring whoever you want standing beside you in the dark.

The boats left Point Loma before dawn, and the families who stayed behind waiting built a neighborhood that still smells like linguica on a Sunday morning. Azorean fishermen have been here since the 1880s — they found a coastline that felt like the one they left, and never went anywhere else.
For one night the ballpark belongs to them. A limited heritage hat at the gate, cultural tributes between innings, and the particular pride of watching your grandparents' story go up on a jumbotron inside a stadium that did not exist when they were pulling nets off the Pacific. Milwaukee is in town, the skyline stands behind the outfield, and the pregame carries the flavors of people who have been feeding this city for over a century.
The hat is first-come, first-served, so come early.
If your family still argues about the correct malassada recipe, this is your night. If not, come anyway and learn something.

Somewhere up in the seats, a kid in a khaki vest covered in patches is about to watch a slider break at what looks like a right angle, and every physics lesson a scout leader ever gave is about to become permanently real.
Scout Day turns the ballpark into a troop event without ever stopping being a ballgame. Scouts march in the pre-game parade. Merit badge activities run the concourse. Group seating puts whole packs together, and theme-game ticket holders get commemorative items. Meanwhile the Padres and the Astros, two of the most analytically obsessive front offices in the sport, give the data-minded adults plenty to argue about between innings.
Petco Park sits at the edge of the Gaslamp with the downtown skyline standing behind the outfield wall. Theme tickets run through Padres.com while supplies last.
Take the kid who has only ever seen a game on a screen. Sit close enough that they hear the ball.

The ballpark gates swing open three hours early, and for a moment the game isn't the point.
Padres Beerfest transforms Gallagher Square into a block party where San Diego's craft beer obsession and its baseball heart beat at the same tempo. Dozens of local and national breweries pour their best alongside food trucks, live bands, and the low hum of a crowd that showed up early because the pregame IS the event. Friar Funds get you five-dollar pours. The sun drops behind the Western Metal Supply building. Someone hands you a hazy IPA you've never tried and you find your new favorite before the national anthem plays.
The beauty of Beerfest is that it exists in the gap between arriving and first pitch — a pocket of time the Padres carved out specifically for people who think the best part of a game is the hour before it starts. Beer tasting begins at 4:00 PM. First pitch vs. Houston Astros at 6:40 PM. Beerfest admission included with your game ticket. Gallagher Square, Petco Park. 21+ for tastings.

Twenty years of writing songs about the slow dissolve of everything beautiful, and somehow the beauty keeps winning the argument.
Ben Gibbard builds songs like architecture — rooms you can walk through, a staircase up to a view you were not braced for — and there is a real difference between hearing Transatlanticism alone in your car and hearing it standing among six thousand people who all drove to the same parking lot for the same reason. Nobody says it out loud. Everybody knows.
Nation of Language opens, and the pairing is almost too neat: cold synth surfaces over warm hearts, the same contradiction approached from the other direction.
Gallagher Square is one of the better outdoor rooms in San Diego — small enough to feel personal, open enough to let the bay in — and an August evening there is the correct weather for these songs.
For everyone who ever played Plans on repeat and never told anybody why.

Petco Park, 100 Park Blvd, San Die…
There is a Bay Area transplant living three doors down from you in San Diego, and when the Giants come to town he wears the colors to Petco without apology - the right-field bleachers take on a whole different character during this series. This is the oldest rivalry in the NL West, thirty-plus years of two California clubs fighting over the same playoff real estate, playing each other more than any out-of-division opponent.
Late July at Petco is the stadium in full summer mode: weeknight sold-outs, the NL West standings close enough that three games directly move the pennant picture. The Giants travel with one of the most geographically concentrated and loyal away fan bases in baseball, which gives the whole series an edge a divisional midweek set usually lacks.
This one matters. Show up for it. The San Francisco Giants visit Petco Park on July 30.

Gallagher Square at Petco Park, 10…
Every collector community has one night a year where the shelf life of your hobby becomes a room full of people. For Funko Pop collectors, that night is Fundays.
Funko Fundays 2026 returns to Gallagher Square at Petco Park in San Diego on Friday, July 24, with the theme Atlantis — a rave in the waves, underwater aesthetic, and the annual tradition of the Box of Fun. The Box of Fun is the only truly exclusive item of the event: attendees get it; everyone else does not.
The gates open at 5 PM with doors at 7 PM. Inside: games, food, drinks, special guests, and the kind of energy that only happens when an entire community decides to be in one place at the same time.
Fundays is the annual gathering that does not show up on general event calendars, does not get covered until after the fact, and sells out through a specific community that knows exactly what it is. You either have the date circled or you do not.
This year's theme is Atlantis — expect exclusive underwater-themed Funko Pops, immersive activations, and the signature Box of Fun that defines each year.
July 24, 2026. Gallagher Square at Petco Park, San Diego. Tickets via Funko.

The walls are ten feet tall and covered in trading card art you have been staring at on your phone screen for months — except now the colors are the size of your entire body and you are standing inside the frame. KAYOU makes its San Diego Comic-Con debut in 2026 with the Walls of Fandom, a free immersive walkthrough experience at the Interactive Zone at Petco Park.
This is KAYOU's first convention appearance, and they brought everything: larger-than-life installations inspired by their trading card lines spanning Naruto, My Little Pony, Demon Slayer, and K-pop collectibles. The experience is a love letter to the artwork behind the cards — the craftsmanship that usually lives behind a plastic sleeve, blown up to a scale where you can finally see the brushstrokes.
Beyond the walls: on-site card purchasing, a fan meetup at Tito Rick's Garage (2918 Imperial Ave) on Friday July 24 from 5-9pm with trading sessions and casual My Little Pony TCG play, and the SDCC-exclusive Superfan Passport — collect stamps across KAYOU's three locations and unlock rewards.
July 23-26, 10am-5pm daily (Sunday until 4pm). Free admission, no badge required.
